Award-winning author, Heather Ashby is a Navy veteran; retired teacher; mother and grandmother; advocate for children, animals, and the military; and lifelong Empath. Her first work of non-fiction, The Caring Code, is a system she developed to help fellow Empaths focus on the people and issues that are most important in their lives. She wrote her romantic suspense series, “Love in the Fleet” with the help of Major Christopher Bergeron, (USMC-ret), who based his writing on his six combat tours of duty. Heather lives in San Antonio, Texas with her retired Navy husband, where they volunteer and nurture their children and grandchildren—among others. Heather loves to hear from readers.
