James is an author and CEO at Tradecraft Capital, a blockchain asset manager focused on the next long-wave economic cycle, the Age of Autonomy®. He brings over 30 years as a technologist, executive, and serial entrepreneur with depth guiding ventures to realize their full potential. After a successful SaaS turnaround and sale in 2017, James took a deep dive into the blockchain space where, after extensive study of this new technology, he became convinced of its potential. He was an early investor in Tradecraft, then an advisor where he assisted refining the Age of Autonomy® thesis, and was subsequently invited to take the executive reigns, leading the firm to a track record outperformance while maintaining a conservative approach. James has been writing on the topic of blockchain and digital assets for years via his blog Crypto: Decrypted®, and he is co-author of Crypto Decrypted - Debunking Myths, Understanding Breakthroughs, and Building Foundations for Investing in Digital Assets, which will be published in May 2023 by John Wiley & Sons. He is Co-Founder of the the Autonomy2040 conference and also a mentor and advisor to technology and blockchain ventures. A technologist at heart, James holds a B.S. in computer science from University of California, Santa Barbara.
