Laura Willoughby MBE likes to change the world and challenge social norms! But she never quite expected to be trying to change the way we drink.
Laura described herself as a "no off-switch drinker" and on quitting the booze decided there needed to be a club to support people who wanted to do a self-guided journey to change their drinking habits. So she set up Club Soda.
A campaigner and movement-maker by background, she set out on a simple but ambitious mission, to create a world where no one feels out of place if they don't drink. Through Club Soda, she supports individuals and inspires the drinks industry and pubs and bars to make a change.
Laura's background is in politics and social change, she was an elected member in Islington for 12 years and even stood for parliament twice! She has worked in the voluntary and campaigning sector for many organisations. She was awarded an MBE in 2005 for services to the community in London.
