Michael J. Warren is an author, medievalist, naturalist and teacher of English. He was previously an honorary research fellow at Birkbeck College and the chair of the steering group for New Networks for Nature, and is currently a trustee for Curlew Action. Michael also curates The Birds and Place Project, a website devoted to collecting and recording the birds of English place names. He is author of Birds in Medieval English Poetry and his nature writing has appeared in magazines such as Aeon and EarthLines. @drmjwarren
