Across a wide spectrum of industries, once-potent companies are in trouble: Walmart, IBM, P&G, Pfizer, HP. The business model of these companies is static - relied primarily on product differentiation and global expansion. As product differentiation and market expansion opportunities reducing, they are finding themselves at a competitive disadvantage; an area that cannot be addressed by spending more money on advertising or buying other businesses. Operational areas such as supply chain and sourcing can provide that competitive edge. Suman is a Partner with Three S Consulting. He holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, India and Masters in Industrial Engineering from NITIE, Mumbai, India, graduating at the top of his class at both schools. Suman also has an MBA from UCLA in Strategy and Finance.
