Publisher's Summary
New Year's Eve is usually a night of fun and wild celebrations, but for a police officer, it can be the most dangerous night of the year.
Officer Ellis Mason has worked as a beat cop on the streets of Atlanta for more than eight years, and he knows what it takes to survive them. But when Lieutenant Godfrey and his infamous narcotics task force issue a dire warning about a lethal drug that's coming to the city, Mason finds himself fighting a war he's not trained for, with God pushing him beyond his limits.
Mason and his partner are both on high alert, but the moment he stops the tall, handsome drifter who wandered into town, Mason knows he doesn't belong.
Jesse Holstrom is lost and possibly in trouble, but Mason's instincts tell him that it isn't the drug-dealing kind. Every night that Mason patrols by and sees Jesse huddled on a park bench, cold and alone, it pulls at his heart a little more. Mason doesn't know how the young man ended up homeless and lost in his neighborhood, but when Jesse ends up on God's radar, Mason knows he doesn't have long to find out.
Mason promised himself he wouldn't let a good thing slip through his fingers again...not this year.

I love AEvia however
this book was way too short. I like long stories that the author creates and to me it wasn't worth the price that I paid.
I wish you would come back and produce more stories because she is a phenomenal Arthur. my favorite one So Miss via please make longer books and Aiden snow your phenomenal

Wish we had more time...
I agree with the consensus, this one was way too short. These guys are so great together. I wish their story could have been more "fleshed-out" so to speak. wink wink. Thank you for the entertainment and as always Aiden Snow is a Master and I always take the bait. Looking forward to more!

Love this series
I love this series so much!! I have been waiting for Ellis to get his book. He has seen everyone find there one and that is what he wants, to find his one. He meets Jesse and there is an instant attraction between them. I love that we get to see the couples from previous books. Now the narration was 🥵🥵 Aiden snow is one of my fav narrators.

Compelling storytelling.
Mason and Jessie’s story is a suspenseful journey that includes the entire testosterone filled narcotics division we have come to know and love throughout the Nothing Special series. My heart went out to Jessie because he’s obviously a victim of circumstance and in need of someone to help him get back on his feet which is where Mason comes in. The two men have a close emotional connection and the storytelling is compelling as are all the books in this series. I listened to the audiobook and I really enjoyed the excellent narration performance of Aiden Snow.

Great bonus to series
I really enjoyed getting Masons story. We met him during Free's story and I am soo happy that we got to see him find a great connection and that special partner. I loved the way that Mason was with people and how he interacted. This story had plenty to grab and hold my attention the entire time. It is a novella but not overly short. I felt like we still got a lot of development and got to see the characters come together and it feel real. This was a great bonus and addition to the story and I am very excited for more to come.
The narrator did a fantastic job with bringing the characters to life.

Loved it but……..
Okay, who else at the end went straight to Bull and Fox story???? 🤣🤣🤣 Guilty.
I love her books, I get lost every time I listen. I’m spoiled because both the author and narrator (Aiden Snow) have set extremely high standards for books I listen to.
This book was great but WAY TOO SHORT. If you have listened to the whole nothing special series, you really appreciate the lengthy stories.
AE Via, please more books. I’m still waiting for Ramon Vasquez to be given the boot by God’s Squad in the most humiliating way possible.
Till then I shall be waiting. Thanks for this one.

Ironically, nothing special
I love the Nothing Special series but this was quite lacklustre for me - it maybe that as a novella I just didn’t get to know Mason and Jessie as much as I would have liked, and God and Day just came across as arrogant bullies rather than the strong duo they usually seem.
