Quante volte siamo stati portatori di un messaggio d'amore esente da altri interessi se non l'amore stesso, senza motivazioni egoistiche? Il "dare" per essere realmente tale dovrebbe essere privo di aspettative. Si riesce infatti ad amare in profondità, quando non si hanno attaccamenti. L'amore non è volontà di possesso, né paura di perdere ciò che ci gratifica.
Amare significa dare amore senza pretese, per la gioia di amare ogni creatura. Dunque, se non siamo liberi (dagli attaccamenti dell'ego) non possiamo imparare ad amare, perché amore e libertà vanno di pari passo.
