In my attempt to understand the lives and times of southern India, I learnt of this masterpiece penned by Kalki. Excited to find Volume 1 on audible! Those searching for this title must be familiar with Kalki's quality, so I will just comment on the narration. Amit has done a remarkable job! To my (admittedly untrained) ear, his diction and pronunciation was fantastic and really brought depth to this audio version. Did full justice to the book and the story. If you are on the fence about this one, go for it.

It was just amazing. As a history buff I checked the historical accuracy but it was on bull's eye. But let me tell you that this was written in 1950's - era without the Google. So hats-off to Kalki sir on that aspect. Amit Bhargav's narration was an icing on the cake. Strongly recommend. One of the best book I have listened in Audible. Waiting for the other two parts now.

This was my first time listening to Tamil literature and I can say that itbis beautiful. The way Kalki described everything from lustrous beauty of princess to vibrant imagination of Kingdom and surrounding, it made me fall for it.
