The gap between what it's really like to be a woman and what people expect women to be is a primary cause of burnout, because we exhaust ourselves trying to close the space between the two. How can you 'love your body' when everything around you tells you you're inadequate? How do you 'lean in' at work when you're already giving 110 percent and aren't recognized for it? How can you live happily and healthily in a world that is constantly telling you you're too fat, too needy, too noisy and too selfish?

A must read!
Jeffrey Marsh has written an inspiring book full of wisdom, compassion, and love! I wish I had this book when I was younger, but even in my mid 30s, I have found it to be incredibly helpful and supportive. Jeffrey shares their own experiences to help the reader navigate the ups and downs of life, and the inner turmoil we all go through when we feel we don't fit in or haven't gotten it right. They provide helpful advice and insights so that we can live a life free from crippling guilt, shame, or confusion. I especially like the segments called Hero, Heroine where they bring in the example of real life people throughout history who embraced who they are despite pressure to conform to society's standards. I recommend this book to any teen who is struggling with finding themselves and loving who they are as well as any adult who is having these similar struggles as well. Jeffrey reminds us that we are good people, and that we deserve our own unconditional love!

This book is everything
If you need a self help book this is the only one you’ll ever need
Jeffrey Marsh’s narrative ability is stunning.
His voice is soothing and reassuring
The stories he tells will make you smile to yourself.
You’ll find yourself nodding and shaking your head, laughing, shedding a tear... but most of all you’ll start to look at yourself differently
I will be revisiting this book over and over and I just know each time his words will resonate more.
I’ve just finished this on audiobook and I can’t wait to start it again!
