About this listen

Grier Woolworth spends her nights weaving spooky tales of lost souls and tragedies for tourists on the streets of downtown Savannah. Hoop skirt and parasol aside, it's not a bad gig. The pay is crap, but the tips keep the lights on in her personal haunted mansion and her pantry stocked with ramen.

Life is about as normal as it gets for an ex-necromancer hiding among humans - until the society that excommunicated Grier offers her a second chance at being more than ordinary. Too bad no one warned her the trouble with being extraordinary is it can get you killed.

Contains mature themes.

It was certainly interesting. Sure, it took me sometime to get invested into the story. That's maybe because I wasn't sure where it was headed at first. But then, I realised later there is so much Grier still doesn't know about and she can't be certain who to trust.

Coming to the relationships, I don't like Boaz with her. He just treats her like some random girl who has a crush on her and he wants to use that excuse to get in her pants. Sure, he is protective but that's just about it. There is no more depth to their relationship, which makes it seem like he could pass as a big brother figure to her. Linus, on the other hand, I am very curious about. Amelie, her friend was fine. I have not much thoughts regarding her. Neely, I love.

After that ending, I feel like it's going to get much more interesting from here.

I saw that FMC is a necromancer and I grabbed it. That's all I needed.
