A whole lot, actually.

Can’t enjoy the story for the cursing

It is hard to enjoy a story when you have a constant stream of sexual references, cursing, and scatological wise cracks. I am not turned off by obscenities but a constant stream of them in the middle of a life or death battle really gets in the way of the story. The voice actor does a good job in the reading but he can only do so much with what he is transcribing. I would avoid this book.

“Quantum Predation” is a Great Audiobook Journey

*Note the following review includes spoilers.*
Another amazing installment of the Argonauts series. This time the Argonauts get into a bit of trouble, including being planetside during an alien invasion. They also hit center stage in a hostage taking scenario, getting surrounded by a city’s defense forces. From there they also manage to intercept an alien mothership and infiltrate its innards, capturing an enemy phant in the process. In other words, a whole lot of s#@! hits the fan.
Loved it, and eagerly awaiting “Book 5 of Argonauts: Robot Dust Bunnies”!

Good but more of the same

I just finished the fourth book in the series. It is getting a little monotonous. There is enough new plot content to make things interesting. The narrator is excellent. My only beef is that the banter between the combat-trained professional soldiers is so atypical it is annoying and redundant. It also is not especially humorous. The military in real life uses a tremendous amount of profanity but combat is serious and useless distracting comments on the net will get people killed.

A little juvenile

The author writes a very entertaining story but spends too much time with the constant sexual references and banter that consumes a couple of the characters, to the detriment of the story in my opinion

this book is upsetting!!

I'm sorry I find parts of this book to be very offensive, racist, and depicts black men in a very stereotypical fashion!! I just couldn't overlook it anymore and I ask myself is this how this writer view black people. I'm sorry I gave this book series a try but it's too upsetting being taken back to the 1920s Jim Crow image of black men!!

Solid Military Space Opera

Lots of action, interesting character and plenty of slimy giant bugs to squash. It's not revolutionary, but it sure is a lot of fun.

Bendover is a cu*t

ended up hitting the skip forward 30 second button Enough times to make this book an hour and 20 minutes shorter just so I didn’t have to listen to him ranting. The character fits in he’s just in there too much; over doing it with the black crude, foul mouthed individual starving for attention (stereo typical / racist). Need some character development halfway through the series and only really know half the team. Story-lines are good ship crew bugs unseen enemies pending doom.

A rollicking, rough and tumble adventure saga...

The saga was absolutely entertaining and holds one's attention quite deftly. Our gallant narrator did his best, working with what he had at hand, and he cannot be faulted. The evolution of the crew relationships, as they develop, and the domestic relationship between the two "parental" main characters is a welcome softer parallel track to a rollicking rough and tumble adventure story.
Being a Kenyan National, I can't very well not comment about how much I wish the Author had taken time to do some fundamental research for proper grounding, BEFORE taking creative license with even the fictional portrayal of the general culture of my homeland. Encouraging as it is to find us being portrayed as a space faring people of the future, I do hope that the vibrant color and complex nuances of our National Identity never devolves into this stilted and shallow stereo type.
Bravo!! For the attempt however ..Top Marks !!

Well yet another Instalment that has you Waiting for Bender to put his foot in it again. The The character's narration is done so well by the reader you really get into the story and it never skips a beat or disappoints.

liked the story overall, hate Shaw...

I see people complain about Bender and Manic being bad character development examples, but I'll be the one to say that I actually think the story would benefit if Shaw actually didn't make it in the first book, so far she has been useful maybe twice, in a way that any AI could have done that, but caused trouble at least once in every book. Also how toxic is that woman? if a guy faked using contraception to get girl pregnant it would be an outrage, but she knows best! and she will do as she pleases! I honestly hate her and struggle through parts that she's in... toxic, gaslighting know-it-all endangering entire group just because she thinks she's as strong as the others... while she's not... okay rant over, overall book good :P
