Story
He appears out of nowhere in a sleepy little neighbourhood in suburban Kerala. He calls himself Shunya, the zero. Who is he? A lunatic? A dark magician? A fraud? Or an avadhuta, an enlightened soul? Saami, as they call him, settles into a small cottage in the backyard of the local toddy shop. Here he spins parables, blesses, curses, drinks endless glasses of black tea and lives in total freedom. On rare occasions, he plays soul-stirring melodies on his old bamboo-reed flute. Then, just as mysteriously as he arrived, Shunya vanishes, setting the path for a new avadhuta, a new era.

The author Sri "M" is an extraordinary individual. His uniqueness lies not only in the fact that at the young age of 19 and a half, he travelled to snow-clad Himalayas from Kerala, and there he met and lived for several years with a "real-time" yogi, Babaji, but also that he should undertake such an unusual and adventurous exploration, given his non-Hindu birth and antecedents. The metamorphosis of Mumtaz Ali Khan into Sri "M", a yogi with profound knowledge of the Upanishads and deep personal insights, is born of first-hand experiences with higher levels of consciousness....

Publisher's Summary
“A must-read for anyone interested in incorporating meditation into their lifestyle.” (Sanjay Gupta, MD, chief medical correspondent for CNN)
Heartfulness is an ideal, a spiritual way of living by and from the heart that is inclusive of all ideologies, beliefs and religions. In this heart-centered book, a student in conversation with his teacher, Kamlesh D. Patel - affectionately known as Daaji, the fourth and current spiritual guide of the century-old Heartfulness tradition - presents a unique method of meditation with the power to facilitate an immediate, tangible spiritual experience, irrespective of a person’s faith.
Our modern, fast-paced world can be an overwhelming place. Every day, we’re bombarded with messages telling us that in order to be happy, fulfilled and worthy, we must be better, do more and accumulate as much material wealth as possible. Most of us move through our busy lives with our minds full of these ideas, multitasking as we strive to navigate the responsibilities and expectations we must meet just to make it through the day. But what if there is another way? What if, rather than letting the busyness of life overtake our minds, we learn to be heartful instead?
Based on Daaji’s own combination of approaches and practices for the modern seeker - which draws from the teachings of Sahaj Marg, meaning “Natural Path” - Heartfulness is a contemporized version of the ancient Indian practice of Raja Yoga, a tradition that enables the practitioner to realize the higher Self within. While many books describe refined states of being, The Heartfulness Way goes further, providing a pragmatic course to experience those states for oneself, which, per the book’s guiding principle, is “greater than knowledge”.
Heartfulness meditation consists of four elements - relaxation, meditation, cleaning, and prayer - and illuminates the ancient defining feature of yogic transmission (or pranahuti), the utilization of divine energy for spiritual growth and transformation. Using the method, detailed practices, tips and practical philosophy offered in this book, you’ll reach new levels of attainment and learn to live a life more deeply connected to the values of the Heartfulness way - with acceptance, humility, compassion, empathy and love.

Heartfulness essence transmitted through words
The unique feature of Heartfulness is Pranahuti aided Meditation. Pranahuti is yogic energy or forceless force utilized by yogis to transform their students. It is also known as pransya Prana or Prana of the Pranic energy. It has also been called Param annam or the super food of the soul. In this audio book, the student Joshua Pollock is transmitting Pranahuti through his voice. It is such a rare feat but then such clarity and such huskiness in the voice can come from a true devotee which he is and it shows in his action. Joshua have been travelling round the world spreading the teachings of Heartfulness Global Guide despite false accusation that he is making tons of money in the process. He and Daaji have in fact under contract transferred all royalty to Heartfulness Institute to utilize the funds in spreading the Heartful way of living. The teacher, the student and the content in the book have come together to transform this world, one heart at a time. Allow your heart to be nourished with this param annam. Listen to this audio book.

No Suitable words to describe such an experience.
I am writing the Review of this audiobook sitting infront of Dear Babuji Statue in Kanha Shanti Vanam. This is one of the most peaceful place and spiritually transforming place on the Earth.
The Heartfulness way has changed my life forever. If you ask me to recommend one book out of thousands and millions of book available then I would suggest THE HEARTFULNESS WAY.
This form of meditation has changed my inner feelings completely. I feel very very strong vibration in my heart and my chest area. I have become abhyasi of Heartfulness/Sahaj Marg on 30-3-2019. I have purchased book from Amazon.in and was introduced to Heartfulness for the first time. Thanks a lot Amzon for providing with such a great book.
Today it's 1-5-2019. I didn't practice it regularly but instead whenever I got time I practiced it. It has brought out the core positive feelings in me like Love, compassion, humility and mostly empathy. This method of mediation has made me more stable from inside. It has increased my will power. Starting days of mediation were somewhat not easy for me but gradually within 1 month only I don't feel like coming out of that blissful state of mediation.
I would request you all to visit Kanha Shanti vanam. I heard a lot about this place from my preceptor, about the wonders it does. This place has truly changed my inner life. I won't be the same person again. That's for sure.
This mediation has created such a craving for more and more that I came alone to Kanha Shanti Vanam even joining less than 30 days to Heartfulness way.
If you do it with utmost sincerity, this will transform your inner being. It will evaluate you SELF.
This book is beautiful narrated by Joshua Pollock. I liked hearing bit in 0.95X speed.
I hope I could give it more than 5 stars.
please like this if you found it helpful or If your life has also transformed through Heartfulness way.
Thank you. I love you Daaji. I wish I can meet you one day, take your blessings physically and speak with you for 2-3 hours privately. I know for sure that it will happen because my heart tells it so and I have Dear Babuji blessings. Until than love & regards from a sincere Abhyasi. Thank you Daaji and Joshua Pollock.
I love You.
