We first meet Sarah and her children in the previous book that followed Bullet and Finlay and my heart went out to them after what had happened.
Bones makes it clear from the start how he genuinely cares about Sarah and her children but Sarah has had a hard life and trust is just not in her dictionary after she's learned that people shed their skin after some time.
I absolutely loved how beautifully gentle and caring and understanding Bones was with Sarah.
Especially with Sarah doubting his affections for her because she is already with a child and has two of her own and why would a man, a good looking doctor want a single mother like her.
Bones doesn't just say words of care but he goes above and beyond and through his actions, time and time again shows Sarah that he's here to stay and is not hiding behind a mask.
The Way Bones is with her children, so natural and sweet, you could feel that he cared and loved those children as if they were his own.
As always the Whiskey family is awesome, always supporting each other and having each other's backs no matter what.
My only problem was that the female narrator was ok but the male narrator felt like a robot, his enactments of different characters were better but as Bones I didn't like him because the narration felt robotic to me.
I really missed Paul Woodson who had been the narrator for the previous books.
This story will touch you deeply, it's emotional but so beautiful, it made me smile and feel hopeful and teaches you that no matter what you think, you are more than worthy of receiving great blessings just like Sarah never thought she could ever have a man like Bones. This book will make you feel oh so much and be part of an awesome family, sharing secrets without scare and cherishing the beauty that is family and love and togetherness. Loved this one.
