  • Ep14: If I'm tired, can I let go of being productive?
    Dec 1 2020

Zeeger has been working a lot lately, taking up many new responsibilities, and notices that he finds it challenging to give into his tiredness and take some well-needed rest. The question of today’s episode therefore is: “If I’m tired, can I let go of being productive?”

We go into the consistent loop of being busy, including the feeling that you should be doing more, Zeeger’s addiction to creating things all the time and - it goes without saying ;-) - the fear underneath it.

Also, we look at how the more this “I need to be productive” energy is playing, the harder it is to surrender, why not being in a creative state may feel like you’re “wasting your time” and the openness that surrendering into the present moment creates.

We wrap up with the insight that taking action from a place of “not being good enough” always leads to fear-based choice, and the question: “what choices would you make if you are always good enough - loved, held and supported?”

  • Ep13: Can we bridge the Corona divide?
    Nov 17 2020

We kick off the first episode of our newest season (yeah!) with the most actual topic in the world right now: Covid. And more specifically: the divide it creates.

Zeeger is experiencing a pain around Covid causing even more polarization amongst humanity, stemming from his discord around it with Fleur (and a deeper fear of being disconnected with others). We talk about the effect of her burn-out on the way Fleur views life, how right now, many individual truths co-exist and cause tension between us, and the actual necessity of this divide to create the new system we need.

Also, we go into the rise of the feminine energy in our collective awakening - bridging the divide, the 1% needed to shift the consciousness of an entire collective and the importance of open dialogue in bridging our individual truths.

Lastly, we talk about why looking at our own internal pains in order to start a loving, constructive conversation is key, and how we can only meet the other as far as we’ve met ourselves.

  • Ep12: How to set loving boundaries in your relationships?
    Nov 3 2020

Yes! The final episode of season 1 is here. And - it’s probably very relatable! Ever triggered your “significant other” while stating your own boundaries? That’s what this episode is all about. Zeeger and Fleur explore a trigger that came up after Zeeger communicated his needs. The question we therefore look at is: “how to set loving boundaries in your relationships?”

We go into the days preceding the phone call in which the trigger came up, the feeling of rejection that was triggered in Fleur, how she dealt with it, and Zeeger’s underlying fear of disconnection when he communicates his needs.

Also, we go into the common co-dependency “pact” in relationships, where one or both persons sacrifice their needs to meet the needs of the other, how built-up pressure is a result of not stating your needs early enough, and how the energy behind your words actually determines your message - and not the words themselves.

We wrap up with the insight that we’re not doing anyone (nor our relationship) a favor if we disconnect from our own needs. In fact, we add most to people’s lives when we honor our own truths first.

  • Ep11: Is there a business case for my life?
    Oct 20 2020

In our newest episode, Michiel shares his fear around not being able to make enough money while honoring his creative skills, having to work an office job instead. We explore the “pain of the creative”, a feeling of frustration that - in our current-day society - economic incentive is not always in the right place and the value of the question: “what would I love to be doing, working on or teaching if it’s a given that I’m always supported?”

Also, we look at breaking free from old paradigm beliefs based on lack and telling new stories based on trust and abundance. How “breaking free” and creating a new reality asks you to challenge the very system that has created your limiting belief in the first place, and the way your outer world is a direct reflection of your inner world.

Lastly, we touch upon the immense power of our soul’s guidance, which always knows which way to go. Which longs to expand beyond established (societal) restrictions - so energy and creativity can fully flow.

  • Ep10: Can you allow life to be as it is?
    Oct 6 2020

Lately, Zeeger has felt increasingly passionate about the topic of human emotion. More specifically, he wants to explore how we can allow our complete spectrum of emotions, including the more “negative’ and “unwanted” ones, to flow through us throughout the day.

In this episode, we dive into our tendency to overly identify with our so-called “positive emotions” and reject our “negative” ones. Why overwhelm is, in fact, just as valuable as happiness or ecstasy and how closely related “negative” and “positive’ emotion actually are.

Also, we address why the specific types of emotion that we have learned to suppress are unique for every individual, how emotions are signs from your intuition that reflect where you still have space for healing, and how loving awareness (or being the “accepting observer”) allows us to be with any type of emotion, if we practice.

Lastly, we revisit the concept of bliss. We discuss how, despite its common association with love and light, it might as well be a state of pure clarity and non-resistance. In short: how bliss is being with any emotion that pops up.

Ultimately, this episode boils down to one key take-away: that at the end of the day, allowing and accepting all parts of ourselves is the gateway to feeling fully, radiantly ALIVE.

  • Ep9: Spiritual awakening: when does the struggle end?
    Aug 24 2020

"The most enlightened being has full hope for the future whilst having full attention on the pain of the now.”

This is just one of many insights of our newest Alive Podcast episode. In today's episode, Fleur shares how she has experienced some serious spiritual awakening symptoms this year - especially since the start of her Breathwork course and “Corona”. We dive into the topic of spiritual awakening and the question: “when does the “struggle” end?”

We talk about the way ascension symptoms can suddenly pop-up, interfering with any plans we’ve made. How this may challenge the ego-mind & a conditioned belief of “needing to be productive”, why accepting and surrendering to the present moment is the only way out and how we’re in fact, never done on our journey of spiritual awakening.

Also, we go into an interesting exploration of the value of expectation, hope & trust, and agree that embracing pain while feeling hopeful about the future is actually a super valuable combination. Lastly, we get to a powerful insight about the now moment: how EVERYTHING is created in this very moment, the “now” really is all there is and that ultimately, “time” is just an illusion.

  • Ep8: Am I running away from what really matters if I am living happy and carefree?
    Aug 11 2020

In our day-to-day lives, it’s often easier to pretend that we’ve got it all together - even when on the inside, we’re actually not feeling so happy at all.

In this episode, we dive into the question: “Am I running away from the things that really matter if I’m living happy and carefree?”. We look at our tendency to pretend like we’re living a picture perfect life, even when we experience internal crisis, the way this impacts the world around us, and Zeeger’s fear that collectively, this ignorance will make our society “run off a cliff.”

Also, we talk about the way the outside world is a pure reflection of our own internal world, why projecting our own “crap” onto others is counterproductive if we want to create a world that we desire, and what THE key is to change this all around.

Lastly, we share how this shift has changed Michiel’s & Fleur’s lives for the better (adding much more meaning, clarity & purpose), talk about the power of doing our inner work and how ultimately, this is the gateway to collective healing - benefitting the whole as well.

  • Ep7: Is it possible to do your work in complete flow?
    Jul 28 2020

The way we’ve been taught to value and think of productivity very much impacts the way we function in everyday (Western) society.

In this episode, we explore the way we’ve been raised to think of work & productivity, how this has resulted in an immense societal pressure to always be “doing” something, while, ultimately, being “highly productive” is not the #1 thing that truly makes us happy. We explore the role of current-day technology, the #1 existential question the feeling of needing to be "productive" raises in younger generations (leading to an early teenage- and twenties “midlife crisis”), and why we might be wealthier than ever but emotionally feel more poor.

Also, we look at the importance of feeling connected to the work that you’re doing, how fear and flow can actually go together, and finish with the 2 things that working from a state of flow requires.

If you find it challenging to work from a state of “flow” or often feel like you’re not “productive enough”,  this episode promises lots of aha!-moments. Also, it might provide you with a deeper insight into what it is that actually triggers this feeling, and what you can do to change it.
