  • Fascia & Myofascial Release with Dr. Kate Oland - Episode 95
    Aug 10 2026

Episode 95 is about fascia and myofascial release therapy, a form of manual therapy that uses sustained, carefully directed pressure and stretching techniques intended to improve the mobility of the fascia and surrounding soft tissues. My guest is Dr. Kate Oland, a physical therapist and expert-level Myofascial Release therapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She has dedicated her clinical practice to fascia-focused care and has become an advocate for integrating contemporary fascial science into undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology education. She also hosts The Healing Journey, a podcast that uses education and vulnerable conversation to explore the many dimensions of healing. You can watch Dr. Oland’s Fascia Lecture on YouTube. Other pertinent links are Anatomy Trains by Thomas Meyers, myofascial release treatment of radiation side effects, and Mark Barnes’ 1997 article on myofascial release.
