We talk about the Rawness of grief, the anger in grief. And one word that Tony uses in his sessions is ‘Adaption’, adaption to the grieving process being something clients feel they can work through rather than be stuck in. We talk about grief being the presenting issue in therapy and sometimes it comes up later in the therapy journey.

As therapists we don’t want to take away what’s already ingrained in the client , but work on opening awareness to how their language impacts or limits them, and how it can change to empower the client instead. We touch on the impact of Covid and how that has opened our eyes to change and control.

    We discuss the point of practising compassion towards others and towards ourselves.


     Self-compassion as a person and therapist and encouraging our clients to do something kind towards themselves as they leave the therapy room


    And most importantly acknowledging the overwhelming feelings and seeking support.
