Long time Lord of the Rings (LotR) Fan and sex educator, Nat Higgins, got the once in a lifetime chance of talking about the Men (and Hobbits and Elves and Dwarves) of Middle Earth with none other than The Obscure Lord of the Rings Facts Guy himself, Don Marshall.

They discuss not only the different forms of healthy masculinity the members of the fellowship display, but also Tolkien as a writer, and the impact that having these kinds of role models can have on a young man coming into his own manhood. Or anyone really, since Tolkien had a way of writing characters that anyone could see themself represented in.

Don Marshall has written two books, J.R.R. Tolkien: The Father of Modern Fantasy and the forthcoming Facts of the Fellowship: 99 Obscure Lord of the Rings Facts from Tolkien’s Middle-earth. You can buy these titles anywhere you buy your usual dragon hoard of books, but be sure to pre-order if you can!

This episode is a little off the usual track! Koshka was in town so Nat took the opportunity to talk about some weird attractions… hear me out…For those of you unfamiliar with a hear me out, it started as a social media trend of people telling their friends to “hear them out” about a weird crush they had. This podcast took that and ran and mixed in fandoms, ships, and overall weird para-social things that happen when the internet is involved.

Nat and Grace sit down to talk all things FETISH. They touch on the in’s and outs of whats a fetish is, how the general public interacts with fetish, and some of the misconceptions about fetish work. There is a also a lot of talking about myths and unlearning that needs to be done when the sex ed we got, failed us.

We're back with part 2 of Nat's discussion with Anita! Topics include gender roles in some Latin Households, and lots of side discussions that only vaguely apply to a sex ed podcast. That's showbiz, baby!

In part 1, Nat Higgins, M.Ed. and guest Anita talk all about Anita’s upbringing in a Catholic school with a surprise twist... her parents who worked for the school actually pushed for better sexuality education! They also get into the not so fun realities of how different the process of getting contraceptives can be from state to state. Nat and Danny use Nat's BRAND NEW MICROPHONES to talk about what sex ed Danny got growing up, and delved into the beginning of the topic of how they experience attraction. Beware, this episode got split into two parts due to the absolutely ridiculous number of tangents that were had. Zero interview. 100% casual conversation fueled by caffeine. Enjoy.
