• Episode 9 Guest :: Kimberli
    Dec 17 2021

    In the first surge of COVID 19, before there were vaccines or even tests, Kimberli became very ill from the virus but then recovered as most patients did.  If that was the end of her story, it would be a sad, difficult story, however, it probably would not be categorized as a life changing health challenge.  Unfortunately, that's not where her story ended.  Two weeks after her initial recovery Kimberli began a new, much longer journey as a "Long-Haul" COVID patient.  Listen to Kimberli describe her experiences with the virus and all the many secondary impacts of her illness that continue to this day.  In this recording Kimberli refers to her blog that both encouraged and at times discouraged her along the way.  Here is a link to that blog.  http://www.kimberlihudson.com/blog

    Jun 22 2021

     Stephen impressed me deeply with his courage to tell his Vietnam injury story for the benefit of others. As we talked on a beautiful Tuesday morning on a screened in porch, I was struck by listening to the horrors of his story as the birds sang in the background. Over fifty years ago, Stephen suffered injuries that he has thought about, dreamed about, and lived with every day since.  Please visit www.secondaryimpact.com to join the community.
