  • The Place Where The Pathway Ends | The Warrior Medic
    Oct 12 2026

Why do men keep going back to prison? In the final part of The Pathway To Prison series, Bill Anderson follows the road all the way to the gate. At least ninety-five percent of state prisoners will be released at some point. Within three years, sixty-eight percent of one large group were arrested again, and within nine years, five out of six. Behind them are more than five million American children who have had a parent locked up.

This episode asks where the pathway actually ends, and why a cell can hold a man but can’t heal him. You don’t have to have been arrested to listen. Some men build their own cells out of anger, silence, and secrets.

Bill shares what happened when he walked out of his father’s house and the wound walked out with him, and a night in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that changed everything. Scripture: Psalm 107:10, 13, and 14, and Matthew 25:36.

  • Am I Passing My Childhood Trauma To My Kids? | The Warrior Medic
    Oct 5 2026

Am I passing my childhood trauma to my kids?

If you've seen your child brace when you walk in, and you've heard your own father's voice come out of your mouth, this episode is for you.

Part three of The Pathway To Prison.

A boy sits at a kitchen table. His father walks in, keys in his hand, and knows exactly what he's seeing, because he made the same move at that boy's age.

Bill names the wound at its three levels, shows how it travels from father to son, and offers hope: the pattern is not a sentence.

The conversation draws on Ephesians 6:4, Colossians 3:21, Malachi 4:6, and the story of a father who brings his son to Jesus in Mark chapter nine. It ends with one step you can take tonight.

This week on The Warrior Medic — the wound handed down from father to child, with a new angle every day.

  • How Childhood Trauma Leads To Rage Addiction And Fear | The Warrior Medic — Episode 20
    Sep 28 2026

This is Part 2 of The Pathway To Prison Series on The Warrior Medic.

Last week we named the pipeline — the direct link between childhood trauma and incarceration. This week we go deeper. Because the pipeline doesn't build itself. It builds one behavior at a time. One wound response at a time.

In this episode Bill Anderson walks through the three primary behavioral expressions of childhood trauma in men — fear, rage, and avoidance — and traces each one back to its root in the wound.

Fear becomes hypervigilance — a man whose alarm system never learned it was safe to turn off.

Rage becomes the only safe emotion — because the boy who learned that vulnerability gets you hurt converts everything into anger. Men who experienced childhood abuse are four times more likely to meet the criteria for uncontrollable rage episodes.

Avoidance becomes addiction — because the only thing that ever quieted the wound was something chemical. This is not a moral failure. This is neuroscience.

None of these are character defects. They are wound responses. And a wound response — when finally named — can finally begin to be healed.

    Key Question of the Episode:
What happened to you? Not — what is wrong with you. What happened to you? Because that question changes everything about how we understand the man in front of us.

    Key Statistics:

    • Men who experienced childhood abuse are 4x more likely to have uncontrollable rage episodes
    • The neurological connection between childhood trauma and substance use disorder is documented — it occurs through impacts on brain development
    • Two out of three men released from prison are rearrested within three years — primarily due to untreated trauma driving the same behaviors

    Key Scripture:
Romans 7:15 — I do not do what I want to do. But what I hate — that I do.

  • The Pathway To Prison | The Warrior Medic — Episode 19
    Sep 21 2026

What if the pathway to prison didn't start with a bad decision — but with a wounded childhood?

In this episode of The Warrior Medic, Bill Anderson walks through one of the most underdiscussed realities in criminal justice — the direct link between childhood trauma and incarceration.

98% of the prison population has at least one severe childhood trauma. The average ACE score among incarcerated men is 6.31 — more than double the threshold researchers already consider severe. Children who experience abuse and neglect are nine times more likely to end up in the criminal justice system.

This is not a coincidence. This is a pipeline.

Bill traces the pathway — from the wounded boy making survival decisions in a dangerous home, to the man whose untreated trauma expressed itself in rage, defiance, addiction, and eventually a courtroom. And he asks the question the system never asked:

    What happened to you?

This episode is for the man who has been inside. The man who just got out. The man watching his son walk the same road he walked. And the man who somehow didn't end up where the trajectory was pointing — and has never understood why.

There is a name for what happened to you. And knowing that name is where everything begins to change.

    Key Scriptures:
Romans 7:15–19 — I do not do what I want to do. But what I hate — that I do.
John 8:36 — If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

  • I Felt Nothing. And Called It Strength. | The Emotional Neglect Wound | The Warrior Medic
    Sep 14 2026

This week on The Warrior Medic — the emotional neglect wound.

The wound that doesn't always come from what was done to you. Sometimes it comes from what was never given. And sometimes — like in my case — from what was actively taken away.

An entire emotional life beaten out of me before I was twelve years old. And forty years of living in the wreckage of that lesson.

This week we trace the emotional neglect wound from installation to cost — and point toward the God who promises not to repair the heart of stone but to replace it entirely.

    Each day this week:
Monday — Installation: the boy who learned feelings were dangerous.
Tuesday — The internal experience: the man who lost access to his own heart.
Wednesday — The marriage manifestation: the wall his wife could never get through.
Thursday — The fathering and leadership manifestation: the man who managed but never connected.
Friday — The healing arc: the heart of stone replaced with a heart of flesh.
Saturday — Letter to the boy who was told his feelings didn't matter.
Sunday — What I Wish Someone Had Told Me: shutting down was survival, not weakness.

  • He Never Told Anyone. Not Once. Not Ever. | The Wound Nobody Talks About
    Sep 7 2026

If you were abused as a child and never told anyone — this episode is for you.

One in six men has experienced childhood sexual abuse. Almost none of them have ever told anyone. Not because it didn't happen. Because the culture handed them a lie the moment it did.

This week on The Warrior Medic we are going into the hardest wound we have discussed since we started this journey. We trace the wound from installation to the shame cycle it creates — and point toward the One who has been working all things together for good since before the wound was installed.

Romans 8:28 is not a promise that what happened was good. It is a promise that God is powerful enough to take what was done in darkness and work it toward something the darkness never intended.

    I am living proof.

    Each day this week:
Monday — The wound that lives in silence. What it is. Who carries it. Why nobody talks about it.
Tuesday — The shame cycle. Why the memory revisits. Why the shame hits like it just happened.
Wednesday — What it does to marriage. The walls. The distance. The intimacy shutdown.
Thursday — What it does to fathering and identity. The man who never felt safe being a boy.
Friday — The healing arc. Romans 8:28. The trusted counselor. The faith walk. The destination.
Saturday — Letter to the boy who was never supposed to carry this.
Sunday — What I Wish Someone Had Told Me: God was in the room. And He has never left.

  • Nobody Would Ever Control Him Again | The Warrior Medic
    Aug 31 2026

This week on The Warrior Medic — the control wound.

The controlling man doesn't look wounded. He looks like a leader. He looks like the man who has his life together. But his wife stopped making suggestions. His children feel managed, not known. And he hasn't slept a full night in years because controlling everything requires everything.

He doesn't have control. His fear has control.

This week we trace the control wound from installation to cost — and point toward the One who is the first authority in a man's life who has never once used His power against you.

    Each day this week:
Monday — Installation, conclusion, and the cost of the control wound.
Tuesday — The exhaustion of controlling everything, all the time.
Wednesday — Control in marriage: the husband who grips everything and loses the one thing that matters.
Thursday — Control at work and at home: the leader who cannot let go.
Friday — The healing arc: surrendering control to the One who is actually trustworthy.
Saturday — Letter to the man who has been white-knuckling everything.
Sunday — What I Wish Someone Had Told Me: control is fear with a suit on.

  • Was It Prophetic... or Just Pizza? | The Generational Wound | EP014 | The Warrior Medic
    Aug 17 2026

This week on The Warrior Medic — the generational wound.

I had a dream. A boy stood in a driveway and watched his father drive away. The father handed him a set of legal documents tied with a red ribbon. Got in the car. And drove away.

Years later — that boy became a man. Had a son of his own. And one day his son stood in the same driveway. Same question. Same mailbox. Same documents. Same red ribbon.

The sins of the fathers. Not passed through cruelty. Through inheritance.

    In this episode:
    — The dream: generational transmission shown, not told
    — The red ribbon: provision without presence
    — What the boy concluded: the vow that runs the man
    — Seeing the father's wound: compassion replacing hatred
    — The chain breaks: one man who turns
    — The Father who never drives away

"I visit the iniquity of the fathers on the children — to the third and fourth generation. But showing love to a thousand generations." — Exodus 20:5-6
