L'auteur est un inconnu de 28 ans qui allait non seulement modifier l'histoire de la littérature française, mais aussi celle de la philosophie du XXe siècle avec la formulation du sentiment de l'absurdité du destin humain.

Or, on peut proposer une contre-histoire de la philosophie qui se soucie d'un autre lignage : matérialiste, hédoniste, nominaliste, athée, sensualiste, empirique, etc. Et s'y inscrire avec le souci d'une pensée systématique.
