মাধবের স্ত্রী বিন্দুবাসিনী, মাধবের দাদার ছেলে অমূল্যকে, তার স্নেহ দিয়ে ভরিয়ে তার নিজের মা হবার সখ পূরণ করে. অমূল্য কে নিয়ে তার মা অন্নপূর্ণার সাথে বিন্দুর এমন অশান্তি লাগে যে বিন্দুকে আলাদা হতে হয়.
