Ian Moore is a stand-up comedian in the UK and a husband, father of three boys, farmhand and chutney-maker in France. He is a mod in both walks of life and most of his time is spent travelling grumpily between the two. Comedian, mod and professional grump Ian Moore has had enough. Tired of being unable to park anywhere near his cramped house in a noisy town he doesn’t like, he hatches a plan to move his wife and young son to a remote corner of the Loire Valley in search of serenity and space.

Käsemord im Nachbarort! Im Loiretal ist wieder ordentlich was los – ein herrlich rasanter und urkomischer kulinarischer Krimi. Richard hat es sich sehr gemütlich gemacht in seiner kleinen Pension im Loiretal und in seinem ruhigen Leben, in dem absolut nichts passiert – genau, wie es ihm recht ist. Er will keine Mörder jagen, und er ist kein Detektiv! Doch plötzlich ist großer Aufruhr im Val de Follet: Das Restaurant im Nachbarort hat einen Michelin-Stern verloren. Der verzweifelte Koch muss mit dieser Schande zurechtkommen, das ganze Dorf ist starr vor Schreck.

Es ist wieder richtig was los im Loiretal: Richard Ainsworths kleine Pension wird von Filmleuten in Beschlag genommen, die im Château de Valençay ein historisches Drama drehen. Als echter Cineast ist Richard natürlich Feuer und Flamme. Doch dann gerät der Dreh ins Stocken, als plötzlich ein Schauspieler unter merkwürdigen Umständen stirbt! Richard und Valérie, die inzwischen ein echtes Detektivbüro gegründet haben, wollen der Sache auf den Grund gehen.
