In this Hindi-language translation of The First and Last Freedom, Krishnamurti emphasises on the importance of self-understanding, arguing that truth cannot be found within formal institutions, organised religions and their dogmas or in any guru or outside authority. He claims that we are all operating with the sole focus of the self and its context in time and place - this results in competition, conflict and the constant promotion of one's own self over all others, even those closest to us.

Acknowledged as one of the greatest religious teachers of this or any other age, the late J. Krishnamurti was a visionary whose ideas are still ahead of his time.
