Fieberhaft sucht Lina nach einem Weg Bauer Nölle dazu zu bringen, den Mähdrescher anzuhalten. In letzter Sekunde kommt Raphael eine Idee, die funktionieren kann. Es geht das Gerücht um, dass sich ein Vagabund im Wald von Kleinwiesental herumtreibt. Die Dorfbandenkinder malen sich aus, dass der Vagabund ein wild fluchender, ungewaschener Mann ist.

Wahre Freundschaft Bohnenstange und ihre Freunde sind aus den Ferien zurück. Es gibt viel zu erzählen. Raphael hat Boule-Spielen gelernt und Kleiner Fuß das Schwimmen. Lina hat eine neue Freundin gefunden. Bohnenstange ist verunsichert über Linas Urlaubsbekanntschaft. Diana heißt das Mädchen und sie hat Lina gleich schon einen Brief geschrieben. Ist Diana jetzt etwa Linas beste Freundin. Der Mädchenschwarm Raphael hat Geburtstag. Im Briefkasten findet er eine anonyme Glückwunschkarte von einer heimlichen Verehrerin. Nur allzu gerne würde er wissen, wer die geheimnisvolle Kartenschreiberin ist.

Lina Lehrertochter. Bohnenstange und ihre Klasse haben unverschämt viele Hausaufgaben auf. Dann noch der blöde Test in Geschichte. Alle sind sauer und lassen ihren Frust wieder einmal an der armen Lina aus. Auch wenn Lina, als Tochter des Dorfschullehrers, solche Anfeindungen schon kennt, geht es ihr diesmal zu weit. Sie will allen zeigen, dass sie nicht die brave Streberin ist, sondern eine von ihnen. Der Alleingang. Bohnenstange und Raphael verzweifeln an den Matheaufgaben während Kleiner Fuß Hilfe braucht, um ein Gedicht auswendig zu lernen.

Kleiner Fuß ganz groß. Kleiner Fuß hat es satt außen vor zu sein, während Lina, Raphael und Bohnenstange miteinander Spaß haben. Immer sagen die Großen, er sei zu jung, könne nicht einmal ihre Witze verstehen. Als sich dann auch noch Samson weigert, ihn bei einer Balgerei als ernstzunehmenden Gegner zu behandeln, hat Kleiner Fuß genug. Er wird allen zu beweisen, dass er gar nicht mehr so klein ist. Der Honigbote. Weil Bohnenstange verhindert ist, für ihre Mutter ein Glas Honig auszuliefern, ergreift Kleiner Fuß die Gelegenheit, diesen verantwortungsvollen Job für seine Schwester zu übernehmen.
