義士銘々伝の中でも最も有名な物語。いよいよ明日が討ち入りと決まった前の日、大高源五は、煤竹をかついで両国橋を通りかかった。雪景色に見とれていた時、俳諧師の宝井其角が声をかけてきた。宝井其角が一句詠み、その後を「明日待たるるその宝船」と源五が詠み返す。あまりに薄着の源五に、其角は着ていた羽織を着せかけたが、後にその羽織が松浦のご隠居さまからの拝領の品と気がつきお届けにあがる。ご隠居は二人で詠み合った歌のことを知ると「これは、明日大変なことが起こるやもしれん」と其角に謎をかけた。その謎が解けぬまま、その日は寝てしまう。翌朝その訳がやっとわかって、吉良さまのお隣の屋敷の歌会に参加する。その夜・・・神田紅は福岡県出身。早稲田大学商学部中退後、文学座付属演劇研究所卒業。1979年二代目神田山陽門下となり紅を名乗る。芝居講談やミュージカル講談を手がけ、女優、レポーター、エッセイストなど多才な活動で話題に。その後も文芸講談等を手がけ、常に講談の可能性を求め続けている。(C)2009 WING ENTERPRISE

その昔、京の都から江戸へ行く東への海道(うみみち)が東海道、東への山道(やまみち)が東山道と云い、これはその後中仙道へと変わりました。江戸時代、全国の大名は参勤交代という制度があり、基本的には一年の任期で江戸と国許を行き来しておりましたが、なかでも東海道と中仙道が表街道で、多くの大名が通行しておりました。中仙道は草津の宿で東海道と別れ、木曽路を通り下諏訪から和田峠を越え追分で信州からの北国街道と合流、碓氷峠を下って江戸へという道。その碓氷峠で松本の城主松平丹波守の行列と出会ったのが、信州上田の城主松平伊賀守の家臣尾上久蔵と中村大助の二人。この二人が、ひょんなことから丹波守に浄瑠璃「関の扉」を聞かせることになったが、いつしか猪退治の話にすり替わって伊賀守に伝わったからさぁ大変・・・いえいえ出世を致します。宝井馬琴は明治大学文学部卒業と同時に五代目宝井馬琴に正式入門。前座名・琴調(きんちょう)として初高座。'66年真打ち昇進、琴鶴(きんかく)となる。'87年六代目馬琴を襲名。話し方教室の講師や司会の他、ビジネス向けの講談でも活躍。'91年芸術祭賞、'98年文化庁芸術選奨文部大臣賞、'99年紫綬褒章受章。現在、講談協会会長。(C)2009 WING ENTERPRISE
