母親の愛情を描いた短い作品です。ある山に狐の母子が住んでいました。こぎつねがとてもおなかを空かせているので、おやぎつねは山を下り、村に行って、ブドウを一房取ってこようと思い、巣から出ていきました。しかし、いくら待っても、おやぎつねは戻ってきません。こぎつねが巣から出ると犬の声と「にげなさい」というおやぎつねの声がしました。それから長い月日がたったある日、成長したこぎつねが昔母親と住んでいた穴の側にくると、そこには大きなブドウの木が生えていました。朗読は大神いずみさんです。
