宮沢 賢治（みやざわ けんじ、岩手県生まれ、1896年 - 1933年）。童話作家、詩人。郷土をこよなく愛し、作品中にも岩手をモチーフにした架空の理想郷が登場する。『銀河鉄道の夜』や『風の又三郎』といった童話作品が知られている。
