excellent presentation very practical and effectiv

Really liked the presentation by Loch Kelly. I found the glimpse practises very useful and effective in day to day living.

exceptional approach for beginners and 'experts'

What did you like about this audiobook?

Lock Kelly draws the reader or listener in with generosity and grace. This is by far the most elegant and user friendly approach to the mindfulness/meditation literature that I have come across.

Loch Kelly may be a genius

In this book Loch carefully unwinds the ego construct that has become so binding for us. With simple instructions he walks you through each layer of confusion until things get very simple.

Mindfulness Turbo Charged

It was so gratifying to listen to Loch Kelly’s description of what I’ve come to think of as “the missing piece of mindfulness,” that is, mindfulness of awareness itself.

This audio book is superb at leading you from basic mindfulness to effortless mindfulness, or “open-hearted awake awareness.”

I was particularly fascinated by his discussion of allowing the knower and the known to be in the same place.  "Being aware from wherever you are aware of" is a huge step toward embodied awakening. "Not only are you aware of space but notice that you are aware from space."

His “glimpse practices” can serve as wonderful guided meditations, and as steps you can learn and use throughout your day.  “Small glimpses many times,” as he puts it

Another enlightening section is his description of awake awareness as the addressee of the glimpse instructions: “The unique thing about this direct inquiry method that uses awareness rather than thinking, is that when I'm asking you to glimpse, I'm not talking to your ego, I'm talking to you, the awake awareness. And I'm asking you through the ego, and through the clouds of ignorance, and through confusion, 'Knock, knock. Hey, Awakeness, can you please unhook from thought and notice yourself?’ “  Great stuff.

He also touches on illuminating subjects such as sub-personalities, motivation, the “mini-me,” the Five Foundations of Effortless Mindfulness, and the Three Stillnesses.

Highly recommended.

Overanalyzing!?!

This gentleman spends so much time "thinking" about and analyzing mindfulness, he sounds a bit confused himself! There are deeper levels or states of so called "mindfulness" , But thinking about them and breaking them in to so many parts or "kinds" of mindfulness, will ultimately lead the meditator to try to over analyze something that is better off felt and experienced. Learn by doing.... These people put out all kinds of books and ideas on something that is beyond "thinking". How many thousands of books on this out there? JMHO....

Wonderful lessons for life!

This is my favorite book I've ever listened to in this genre, I don't think I have ever written a typed out review for an Audible book before now and I have practically burned through the genre. I can safely say I have learned how to make the shift from ego consciousness to awareness easily and quickly and that shift is the thing I have sought all my life.

The most important material of my life

This program is simple, not grandiose in any way, yet for me, it is proving to be utterly transformational. It must be put into practice in order to work, but it works. Ongoing practice is the key. You're not going to have your mind blown by the material, I think because it's rooted in reality and real life application. What's going to happen though is that the material will show you how to blow your own mind through discovery.

Great! Fills in a lot of blanks...effortlessly :-)

Blend of science, guided practice and explanation of ‘maps / stages’ especially explaining the differences between basic mindfulness (focused attention & open monitoring) and Non dual effortless mindfulness then onto Embodied Open Hearted Heart Mindfulness. Lots of relatively short practice sessions , few scientific research studies, linking in the complete path and the pinnacle of Spiritual Awakening. Filled in a lot of gaps and makes perfect sense for me. Probably good for beginners but great for experienced practitioners especially with some grounding in the spiritual path - listen to this now to take your mindfulness practice / life to the next level. Is this guy a genius or a fraud?

I think there is some merit in the general concept behind this book and I have read many discussions on the internet that explain it in a rational way. I had high hopes for this book but found it mostly incomprehensible.

For example try to perform this exercise from Chapter 13:

"..exercise that starts with unhooking, drops into the body and then opens up behind your back to discover this spacious awake awareness that is aware of itself behind you and then once that is discovered it will come into your body; almost feel out and through to everybody in front of you, feeling love and compassion interconnection and feel as if it can receive compassionate feelings back and then surrender back behind you to this awake awareness that has your back."

The whole book is full of more the same. If you can make sense of that as you hear it, then maybe this book is for you. To me it sounds like a random selection of buzzwords. Maybe the emperor has no clothes.
