Publisher's Summary
Even though Eve can't quite see it that way, it's supposed to be at least partly a vacation. But work intrudes in the form of a bloody homicide, and Eve is off and running. The case is complicated by Eve's personal history with the victim - and by the killer's history with Roarke. As danger closes in and the body count rises, Eve must find a way to stop the cycle of violence and revenge, and shove the past back where it belongs.

Quick Read, But Good
This is a fast read, but yet still interesting. Dallas comes up against a murder that she solves with an off-planet female cop and the plot is pretty good. Dialog is typically witty JD Robb style with the sense of humor that has some bite to it. Susan Erickson has managed to maintain the integrity of the voices, which is nice after having read a few where she was somewhat off. I'm not sure why the length was so short, but still it was a good read. Readers who have read several Eve Dallas novels will wonder if they have read the love scenes before. They have -- the writing of those segments is very similar to other novels in the series. But they don't take up too much of the novel. JD Robb pretty much sticks to the plot in this one.

ChrisAnn's review.
I just wish I could purchase the entire series at once at a reasonable cost so I could listen straight.

Disappointing
Not one of my favorite Eve Dallas tales. The plot was weak. The bad guy realized the error of his ways too suddenly in the last few minutes of the book. I'm also getting a little tired of all the sex scenes between Eve and Roarke. If I was reading this book, I would have skipped through those scenes and finished it in 30 minutes.

Short but perfect
Where does Interlude in Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top quarter
What did you like best about this story?
All the characters that make Eve's "family" were there doing what they do best.
What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Susan has become one of the best parts of the In Death series. I miss hear when I read the books.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! I know it was a short book but that helped me listen to it in one evening.
Any additional comments?
Don't pass on this book because of the size. You would miss a enjoyable time with old friends. If you are new to the series you will meet most of the clan.

The best In Death novella with great narration
With the superb narration of Susan Erickson, this is the best of all the short In Death audios. Eve and Roarke are back at the off planet Olympus Resort for a police conference. They are introduced to a retired police Commander from Atlanta who is out to get Roarke and Eve for something that happened 23 years ago. 23 years ago? Yep, when both Roarke and Eve were children being battered and abused by their fathers. Because some people actually believe that the sins of the father should be paid for by their children. Lots of action in this one, including bombs.
Also, some background is revealed about Roarke and Eve in this novella which is unusual for an In Death novella. The good stuff is usually in the full length books. So be sure not to miss this one!

Great Little Story!
I had a bit of sticker shock, paying full price for only a few hours, but did not regret it! The plot was simple (not many surprises), but I loved the interaction with the characters. It was enjoyable, and worth the money for fans of the series!

Love these short "Interludes!"
Once again, I was able to spend a few hours with my NYPSD family. How I love these characters. This story, while less deep than the full length books, doesn't disappoint. I recommend it. And Susan Erickson is the BOMB!!

to short
excellent story but was too short. Could of expanded on the chase. Some good humor all around to pull it together.

Just know it’s short
But still very enjoyable. It did seem abbreviated. I’d love to see it fleshed out.

Interlude in Death
Great book even though it's short. Fits in with the series, though I had to go backwards in order to read it.
