This is the first part of our interview with Elizabeth Peterson, an arts integration specialist with degrees in Arts, Leadership and Learning and the host of ⁠theinspiredclassroom.com⁠. Elizabeth believes that when caring, creative teachers feel empowered in their classroom, they make a difference in their students’ lives every day. Elizabeth Peterson loves helping caring, creative teachers bring the arts practically and meaningfully into their classrooms. She is the creator of SEAL, Social-Emotional Artistic Learning: a unique and holistic method of integrating the arts with SEL.

She is in her 24th year of teaching and 16th year of hosting workshops, retreats and online courses in arts integration and SEAL.

In this episode, Aubrey Schmalle, a pediatric occupational therapist, talks about how technology hugely affect children with sensory issues and what are some helpful tips to minimize technology exposure.

Aubrey Schmalle is currently working to find ways to expand her message beyond the world of occupational therapy and make 'Body Activated Learning' a mindset for parents and education raising children in a digital world who need different habits and routines to be successful.

Aubrey’s mission is to empower adults to be able to better support neurologically diverse children both in schools and in the community in a truly inclusive way by building the habits of success based in sensory supportive movement with the needs of a digital generation in mind.
