    In this episode of the Black Power Revisited Podcast, Cliff Albright is joined by activist and visionary Benjamin Dixon, host of Like It Or Not, On The Clock, and the all-encompassing streaming morning show The Benjamin Dixon Show and podcast of the same name. Benjamin discusses his upbringing in the American south, the Black church, and organizing by extension. Describing his father's role as a preacher in the southeast of the United States, and work organizing boycotts in Mississippi, Benjamin spoke of his earliest memories observing and working with his father and the trajectory it put him on. He spoke about how Black Power translates into real change in the real lives of real people. Cliff and Ben also discussed recent events in American politics dating from the 2010's until now, voting rights and the filibuster. They also discuss the impact of Donald Trump and the campaigns of Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

Brittany also spoke on the history of Black power, the challenges faced today, and the shared commonalities with other marginalized communities.

They discussed Rep. Bowman's experience as an educator and working with his students and community and what led him to run for political office. The Congressman spoke of what Black power means in the everyday lives of people and their community, as well as what it looks like in the halls of Congress. Cliff and Representative Bowman also discussed current examples showing we're building Black power and what he's working to change in our communities in the immediate future.
