• Trust, Delight, Commit, and Rest | Psalm 37:2
    Feb 23 2026

When the world feels broken and evildoers seem to prosper, Psalm 37 gives clear direction—not just what not to do, but what we should do. While we are told not to fret or become consumed with anger, verses 2–7 shift our focus to a better response. First, we remember that no one ultimately escapes God’s justice. All are accountable before Him. But instead of being overwhelmed by what others are doing, we are called to trust in the Lord, delight in Him, commit our way to Him, and rest patiently in Him.

As we place our confidence in God’s sovereignty, we are also instructed to “do good.” Rather than wasting energy on frustration over things beyond our control, we are to use what God has given us to bless others and live faithfully. Trust God. Keep doing right. Let Him handle justice. And continue moving forward in obedience and faith.

  • Don’t Let Evil Distract You | Psalm 37:1
    Feb 22 2026

Psalm 37 speaks directly to one of the greatest distractions in our lives—the actions of other people. When we see evildoers prosper or appear to “get away with it,” it can consume our thoughts, stir anger, and even tempt us toward envy or retaliation. But David gives clear instruction: “Fret not thyself because of evildoers… Cease from anger, and forsake wrath.”

Living in a broken world means we will see injustice, sin, and wrongdoing. Yet we are warned not to allow those realities to drive our thinking or control our actions. God remains the righteous Judge. Those who seem to prosper in evil are still accountable to Him. Our responsibility is not to take matters into our own hands, but to focus on what God has set before us. When we release the need to control what others are doing and trust God with justice, we are freed to live faithfully, purposefully, and at peace.

  • A Needed Perspective Shift | Psalm 36:5
    Feb 21 2026

Sometimes what we need most is a shift in perspective. Psalm 36 helps us refocus when the troubles, enemies, and uncertainties of life begin to feel overwhelming. In verses 5–9, the psalmist lifts his eyes from the chaos around him to the character of God. His mercy reaching to the heavens, His faithfulness extending to the clouds, His righteousness firm like mountains, and His lovingkindness abundant. When we fixate on our circumstances, they can seem insurmountable. But when we fix our eyes on who God is, everything changes. God is faithful. God preserves. God satisfies. God gives life and light. As we remember His greatness and goodness, our perspective shifts, our confidence grows, and we are strengthened to take the next step forward in faith.

  • When People Hurt You | Psalm 35:28
    Feb 20 2026

Psalm 35 gives a detailed and personal picture of being hurt by others. For 27 verses, David describes people who opposed him, spoke against him, and even rejoiced when he struggled. He asks God to defend him and intervene on his behalf. But the Psalm closes with a powerful decision in verse 28: “My tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.”

Being hurt by people, especially those close to us, is one of the most painful parts of living in a broken world. We cannot control what others say or do, but we can control where we fix our focus. Instead of allowing hurtful words to become the narration in our minds, David chose to center his heart and speech on the righteousness and praise of God. When we shift our focus from those who hurt us to the God who loves and defends us, we find peace, strength, and the ability to move forward.

  • Near to the Brokenhearted | Psalm 34:18
    Feb 19 2026

Psalm 34 reminds us that even in seasons of deep grief and hardship, we are not alone. In verses 18 and 19, we are given this powerful promise: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart… Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Brokenness is part of living in a fallen world. Grief, loss, and affliction will come—even for those who follow God. But Scripture assures us that the Lord draws near in those moments. When you feel isolated in your pain or overwhelmed by difficulty, God has not abandoned you. He is close, He sees, and He will deliver according to His perfect will and timing. Lean into the God who is near to the brokenhearted.

  • Taste and See That the Lord Is Good | Psalm 34:8
    Feb 18 2026

In moments of hardship and confusion, have you ever quietly wondered if God is truly good? Psalm 34:8 offers a powerful invitation: “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Though the world is marked by brokenness and suffering, the psalmist calls us to pause and intentionally recognize the goodness of God in our own lives. His goodness is often seen in simple but profound ways—through provision, peace in difficult seasons, timely encouragement from others, and daily blessings we easily overlook. When we take time to reflect and give thanks, our perspective shifts. Instead of being consumed by struggle, we begin to see how faithfully God has sustained us. If you follow Christ, you are blessed indeed. Slow down, reflect, and experience again the goodness of God.

  • Delivered from Fear | Psalm 34:4
    Feb 16 2026

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about what lies ahead? Psalm 34:4 offers a powerful promise: “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” David reminds us that fear often grows in moments when we feel out of control and unsure of the future. But when we sincerely seek the Lord, we are not speaking into the void—He hears. And more than that, He delivers. Sometimes God changes the circumstance, but often He changes our perspective, replacing fear with faith. When our confidence rests in Him, fear loses its grip—not because everything around us is fixed, but because we trust the One who holds the future. Seek the Lord. He hears, and He delivers.

  • Rejoice in the Lord | Psalm 33:1
    Feb 15 2026

In a world that often feels confusing, chaotic, and upside down, how should we live? Psalm 33:1 gives us a clear and steady answer: “Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.” Praise is not reserved for moments when life feels easy or predictable, it is the beautiful, appropriate response of those who follow God. Though circumstances may shift and uncertainty may rise, our posture remains the same. We rejoice, not because everything makes sense, but because God is still God. The rest of Psalm 33 reminds us of His strength, mercy, and ability to deliver. As His people, we are called to live with hearts anchored in praise, trusting Him regardless of what unfolds around us.
