Welcome to the Nordiques Knuckles Podcast: An appreciation & celebration of the warriors who've dropped the gloves for the Quebec Nordiques & their affiliates.

Today, it's the end of an era, that is, if an "era" is eight months.

I just want to take the time to thank those guests who've been generous with their time & thank the listeners for tuning in. It's time to pull the plug & I'll explain why.

    Mar 20 2023

Welcome to the Nordiques Knuckles Podcast: An appreciation & celebration of the warriors who've dropped the gloves for the Quebec Nordiques & their affiliates.

Today, I bring you a different kind of episode.

Former Halifax Citadels forward Ivan Matulik was a draft pick of the Edmonton Oilers in 1986. There was only one problem. Ivan was born, raised and still living in Czechoslovakia & they weren't keen on upper echelon athletes leaving, so Ivan had to defect. Easier said than done. In part one, we covered Ivan's defection & the start to his career in North America. Here in part two, we'll put a bow on his North American career & explore his time in the UK. I hope you people enjoy it!
