  • Just Start
    Aug 26 2025

We've all heard the classic pieces of advice: follow your heart, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, it's not about the destination, it's the journey. Sure, they're nice words, but they don't stick with me in a way that changed my day-to-day life.

There is one piece of advice, though, that has made all the difference. It's simple, two words. And it's something I repeat to myself almost daily: just start.

In this episode, I share how overthinking and anxiety can paralyze me. Whether it's starting to clean my messy room, doing homework, or preparing for a big move, instead of spiraling, I've learned to manage myself with these two words. Just start.

Do one small thing. Build momentum. Keep going.

If you've ever felt overwhelmed by everything you've got going on, join me as we discuss why the first step is the hardest, how starting shifts your mindset, and how this simple advice can help you move forward.

  • Silence is Scary
    Aug 19 2025

The world is loud. Everywhere you go, there is sound—music in stores, TVs in restaurants, and a phone that never stops buzzing. We are surrounded by noise, creating the tendency for silence to feel almost unnatural.

Lately, silence has induced a feeling of dread in me. Having time to sit and think has been a frightening experience for me. With distractions, I don't have to think or feel or process, so when the noise stops, everything rushes in at once.

In this episode, I open up regarding my struggles with silence and the thoughts it brings. because it's not really the quiet that scares me—it's what comes with it.

  • Coffee: My Strange Obsession
    Aug 12 2025

As I made this episode, I had a jar of iced coffee sitting next to me, which just made my day. In this week's episode, I'm unpacking one of my strange obsessions that I've had for the last 5 years or so: coffee. I dive into when it started, how it has evolved, and how it's tied to some of my coziest, most cherished memories.

From the time I first encountered it as a kid to pretending to like it at 14 to seem "mature" to really loving it today, I have a long-running list of times where coffee has played a role in my life.

Let's talk about my current recipe, why coffee feels like more than just a drink, and how it's become a thread connecting moments of peace, family, and faith.

  • I'm Handwriting the Entire Bible
    Aug 5 2025

Lately, I’ve been rethinking what I want this podcast to be. Honestly? I don’t want it to feel like a sermon. I want it to feel like a conversation. A space to share the real, messy, everyday parts of my life and faith.

So today, I’m letting you in on something new I’ve been doing in my quiet times: handwriting the Bible.

It started because I’ve always loved writing, whether it's journals, scribbles, or little notes everywhere. I realized that writing the words of Scripture slows me down, helps me remember what I read, and makes the stories come alive in a whole new way.

It’s not always easy. Some days I don’t feel like writing at all, but this simple rhythm has made my quiet time feel more personal and meaningful.

  • People Pleasing and the God Who Never Asked Me To
    Jul 29 2025

In this episode, I’m unpacking the quiet, exhausting cycle of people pleasing. From over-apologizing to overcommitting, I share personal stories of how I bent myself into versions I thought others wanted, all while calling it kindness or faithfulness. But behind the smiles and self-sacrifice was fear. Fear of being too much, too selfish, too disappointing.

Let’s talk about the difference between being loving and being liked, how to recognize when people pleasing is actually self-abandonment, and what it means to follow a God who doesn’t need our performance, just our presence. If you’ve ever confused obedience with approval-seeking, or if you’re tired of saying yes when you really mean no, this one’s for you.
