• Ep. 639: Grieving The Life You Thought You'd Have
    Aug 12 2026

Life looks really different than how we once imagined it would, and we know we’re not alone in this. Maybe you never got to have the things you wanted, or maybe you got everything you thought you wanted, but things still feel empty. Whatever the situation or the circumstance, there’s a real grief surrounding it all. But there’s nothing wrong with that sadness, and when we learn to make peace with it, we can make the best of whatever comes next. That’s how we turn this shit-show into the Best Life. We’ve done it before, and we can do it again.

Pain and dissatisfaction doesn’t discriminate [9:00]

Making peace with the grief [17:54]

  • Ep. 638: When Sharing Becomes Over-Sharing
    Aug 5 2026

Do we need to be sharing more about our buttholes in order to be successful online? This era of the internet is shaping out to be all about the personal brand, and one way we see people doing that is by sharing some really, really personal things about themselves (no exaggeration about that butthole thing). So if we need to share personal things to build our personal brands, at what point does the sharing become too much? Does the line exist at all? You already know everything about us, Bestie, but we’re not sure that the rest of the world is ready to hear some of the things we have to say.

How much is too much to share? [1:37]

    Platform-dependent sharing [4:17]

When things involve other people [9:34]

The difference between personal and private [11:48]

The power in sharing vulnerability [16:19]

Do you owe your audience a break up announcement? [19:45]

    Wait until you’re ready [24:35]

Things on the internet last forever [28:31]

Shame can’t survive being spoken [31:49]

  • Ep. 637: Age Is Just A Number
    Jul 29 2026

In our younger years, being 40 years old seemed like the worst possible thing a person could be. Now we’re well into our 40’s and while we don’t feel ancient yet, we are starting to see the appeal of having a mid-life crisis. Life is short, but it’s long as hell at the very same time, so if we’re just getting to the half way point… what else is there to do out there? While we contemplate getting doctorates and Porsches, we’ll do our best to feel young.

Age is just a number [1:18]

    Age isn’t an insult [5:13]

We miss the subtle changes in ourselves [8:06]

    Our forever ages [10:04]

    How to stay young [24:23]

    “Dressing your age” [28:50]

    Muscles are in [36:42]

    Breaking generational patterns [38:58]

  • Ep. 636: Our 10 Year Friendiversary
    Jul 22 2026

We’ve been friends for 10 years now, so we’d like to think that we’re experts at friendship. It’s easy to maintain a friendship when you see each other often, but it’s taken real and deliberate effort to stay close emotionally even though we’re physically far apart. A big part of our friendship has been in part due to you, Bestie, and we’ll never forget it. Thank you for being a listener.

  • Ep. 635: The Female Loneliness Epidemic
    Jul 15 2026

There’s a lot of chatter about the male loneliness epidemic, but men aren’t the only ones who are lonely. Plenty of women are lonely, too, and lonely inside of their marriages and relationships. Women have been holding things down for a long time, and most of us are just tired and resentful now. For us, our saving grace is usually our friendships, but our male counterparts aren’t turning to friends the same way. What it comes down to is this: we all need varied relationships with lots of people, and the care it takes to build those relationships isn’t always easy. That goes for men and women. But that’s why we’re so happy we have you, Bestie. You just get us.

Married men should be banned from Instagram [1:57]

Red flag after red flag [5:30]

    Making it about ourselves [7:25]

    A double standard we’re okay with [11:03]

Contributing to the issues we complain about [13:21]

    Loneliness within a relationship [15:27]

    Resentment fatigue [20:30]

Does the care taking go both ways? [22:34]

Diversify where you get emotional support [25:40]

    Nobody has friends anymore [29:37]

    Care is inconvenient [33:29]

    Just keep showing up [37:45]

    Shallow social media connections [40:32]

  • Ep. 634: The Transactional Relationships Built in "The Room"
    Jul 8 2026

There’s a lot of talk in certain pockets of the online space about “being in The Room” (whatever that means). In our experience, “The Room” is full of mean girls who only care about you as long as they can get something from you. If that kind of transactional relationship sounds fine to you, then get your ass in that room, but us? We’ll be sitting outside The Room with all the cool people—the people we actually care about and who actually care about us.

Opting out of transactional relationships [2:01]

Rooms full of mean girls [6:08]

    Exploitation of new faces [10:21]

    The antidote to jealousy [14:20]

The benefits of building real relationships [17:34]

Knowing who your real friends are [22:16]

There are more ways to be successful [27:43]

“The Room” won’t make or break you [30:57]

  • Ep. 632: AI Keeps Moving the Attractiveness Goal Posts
    Jun 24 2026

As AI gets more advanced, we’re seeing an influx of AI “influencers” and it’s getting hard to tell, y’all. And even when we know an account is AI, we still find ourselves comparing our looks and lives to the fake ones, and feeling shitty in the process. We know that “83 year old model” is fake, but she’s still #goals. Unfortunately, we still live in a society that conflates our worth with our looks, and the goal posts just keep moving father back as editing and fake content just keeps flooding our feeds. As much as we wish we could opt out of the beauty rat-race entirely, we find ourselves stuck in it time and time again. But hey, we’re at least trying to own it.

    Two types of entrepreneurs [1:57]

AI content is taking over [5:25]

    Differentiating human-made content [7:40]

Does the end justify the means? [9:55]

Who decides where the line is? [13:18]

The struggles of new generations [15:14]

Classism in the beauty industry [20:20]

Our social worth is tied to how we look [23:52]

Trying to remain optimistic, despite the horrors [28:25]

Knowing what battles are worth it [32:30]
