  • How Travel Can Help ADHD
    Dec 5 2023

In this episode, I discuss 10 benefits that travel can provide for the ADHD brain. You might think that since traveling can be stressful, it must be even more stressful for the ADHD brain. However, in my experience, there is a counterintuitive nature to travel. Rather than stressing me out even more, I find that I do far better with my ADHD symptoms when I am traveling, especially traveling internationally.

I find that being in a new country with a different native language and new sights provides a new form of stimulation in real time that I do not normally achieve in my routine, daily life. From learning and cognitive engagement to gaining a new sense of confidence and independence, travel provides all sorts of benefits for those who have ADHD.

  • Rethinking These 3 ADHD Stigmas
    Oct 24 2023

ADHD is often stigmatized due to a broad misunderstanding of its nature in the wider culture. In this episode, I go over three common stigmas and talk about how to rethink them:

    "You can't focus."
    "You're lazy."
    "Try harder."

All of these are fundamentally unhelpful at best and insulting at worst. Listen to this episode for my take on how you can rethink what is going on when you hear these stigmas and understand better how to see yourself.

  • When Everything Is A Priority
    Oct 3 2023

What do you do when you face a multi-step process? If you're like me, I see tasks such as cleaning the kitchen as an entire, singular task with no obvious step-by-step process underneath it. This makes chores seem daunting and overwhelming and leads to procrastination. So, I came up with a strategy some years ago: I thought download the necessary steps and then organize those steps separately. This process can be scaled up or down, applicable for everything from doing the dishes to starting a business. Listen to learn more about my strategy for handling priorities with ADHD.
