Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it's likely the former, which is a fancy 'book' way of saying 'the first one.') I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like. I also talk about some of my adventures in Los Angeles, and surely say things about other famous people that will create a wildly awkward conversation for me at a party one day.

Die Inseln Maotou und Hawutai feiern ein Fest der Freundschaft. Jeder der beiden Söhne der Dorfvorsteher soll zu diesem Anlass vor den Inselbewohnern etwas Besonderes vorführen. Auru hat einen traditionellen Tanz vorbereitet. Naones Sohn Keanu aber führt sein neues Flyboard vor und gewinnt mit seinem coolen Auftritt das Herz von Clarissa.

Für das Muschelfest soll eine „Große Riesenmuschel" auf dem Festplatz der Insel aufgebaut werden. Doch Auru hat es eilig, er ist unvorsichtig und lässt die Muschel fallen. Sie zerbricht. Aurus Vater ist stocksauer. Er befiehlt seinem Sohn, unverzüglich eine neue Muschel aus dem Meer zu holen. Auru ist verzweifelt, denn er kommt zu spät zu der Verabredung mit seinem Freund Inapo.

Ramana eröffnet Timeti, dass sie eine echte Mutprobe bestehen muss, wenn sie eine vollausgebildete Schamanin sein will. Sie muss dafür im Meer einen Hai auf die Schnauze küssen. Als Timetis Mutter Maeva Wind davon bekommt, ist sie außer sich vor Wut und versucht alles, um Timeti von ihrem Vorhaben abzuhalten.

Yann und seinen Freunden fallen rote Schlieren im Tiefseegraben auf. Sie informieren Onkel Patrick über dieses ungewöhnliche Phänomen, der sich das sofort persönlich ansehen will. Ramana warnt ihn vor einer Fahrt in den Tiefseegraben, weil dort die Ponaturis, unheimliche Unterwasserwesen, zu Hause sind.

Ramana erzählt Yann und seinen Freunden Timeti und Auru die Legende vom Fischmann, einem erfolgreichen Perlentaucher, der angeblich stundenlang unter Wasser bleiben konnte. Yann, Timeti und Auru wollen das Geheimnis des Tauchers lüften und den Perlenschatz finden.

Die jungen Inselbewohner auf Maotou bereiten sich auf einen Speerwurf-Wettbewerb vor. Yann möchte auch gerne mitmachen, hat das Speerwerfen aber bisher noch nie trainiert. Auru versucht, Yann die Technik des Speerwerfens beizubringen, gibt aber bald genervt auf.

Papa Tuanaku und Taipuna haben nach einer Reise eine Lebensmittelvergiftung und jemand muss Papa Tuanaku als Dorfvorsteher vertreten. Ramana entscheidet sich erstaunlicherweise für Yann. Der hat keine leichte Aufgabe vor sich, weil ausgerechnet heute der Beschwerdetag für die Dorfbewohner ansteht.

Maeva will ihr Geschäft ankurbeln und Hochzeitsbankette anbieten. Zu diesem Zweck soll ein Werbe-Hochzeitsvideo gedreht werden. Die Hauptdarsteller sind Maeva selbst und Onkel Patrick. Ramana vollzieht jedoch ein echtes Hochzeitsritual und die beiden sind nun wirklich miteinander verheiratet.

Timeti, Yann und Auru wollen auf einer unbewohnten Insel picknicken, da taucht Clarissa auf und will mitkommen. Sie fährt mit Auru im Einbaum, Yann und Timeti nehmen Clarissas Jetski. Auru und Clarissa geraten in einen Sturm und stranden auf einer vermeintlich einsamen Insel. Auru findet bald heraus, dass sie eigentlich auf Maotou gelandet sind.

Peter Shaffer’s three most renowned plays, plus a radio monologue performed by Dame Judi Dench. Sir Peter Shaffer was one of the most distinguished and successful British playwrights of his generation. He won the Tony Award for both Amadeus and Equus, and the film adaptation of Amadeus garnered eight Oscars. In 1997, he was awarded an OBE, and he was knighted in the 2001 New Year honours list. This collection contains his best-known plays and a monologue specially written for radio, first broadcast in 1989.

Man has always wanted to travel into the unknown and encounter what he has not, and perhaps cannot, experience in the real world.
