Publisher's Summary
Boomerangers [boo-muh-rang-ers] - noun, informal: an adult who moves back home to live with a parent after a period of independence.
Spencer
I love sex. I love the power, the intimacy, the euphoria it brings. Too bad I'm not having any... You'd think as New Orleans' most renowned sex therapist that I'd be swimming in single men. In a way, I am...except for the fact that one is in diapers and the other two are drowning in preteen hormones. As a single mother of three, my days are devoted to my clients and my kids, and my nights are spent with Fabio, my trusty vibrator. When my world begins to unravel, I have no choice but to move back home. And when my high school sweetheart comes waltzing back into my life, comedy and chaos ensue.
What can I say? I never said I could pick 'em, but you can bet your ass I know how to fix 'em.
Cooper
As soon as the ink dried on my divorce papers, I made myself a solemn vow: I was done with relationships. Moving home to take over my father's firm was the plan, until Spencer decided to return, along with three souvenirs from the life she's lived without me.
I've been in love with the girl next door for nearly all of my life; the rest was spent trying to forget her. I'd give almost anything for a second chance with her, but I have no time for distractions - especially the kind that involve diapers, bottles, and 18-year commitments.
The problem is, she's already got me by the balls...and I'm beginning to feel the noose tightening around my heart.

'Savage' and 'Pooper' made me LOL... on the train
This is my first book by Ms. Orgeron that I bought from one of the Audible sales but it sat in my library unread for a long while. Today however, I was looking for something light, funny, and short so I finally listened to this book. It definitely delivered. I took the commuter train home today and had the hardest time controlling myself from bursting into giggles.
Ms. Orgeron's characters Spencer and Cooper aka 'Pooper' were developed well. Unfortunately, the conflict was not that original as it is about a mother who is afraid to commit. Nonetheless, it was still enjoyable listen as portrayed by Jillian Macie (new narrator for me) and Eric Summerer. Loved, loved Savage or Kyle who brought the comedic relief to the story. Well done.

What true love should be.....AMAZING
I am a new reader to Heather M. Orgeron and I am so happy I came across her books!! OMG, Cooper & Spencer are two awesome people that through this story shows you how true love should be! The kids are AMAZING, I even let hubby listen to some of the kids parts. I know when people drove by me and saw me laughing and wiping tears they probably thought- that woman has lost her mind driving down the road alone and laughing her butt off!! 10⭐️’s no doubt! If you want fun, witty, love, character, and down to earth people you will not go wrong one clicking on this!! I know it’s been out for a while, but it is an awesome audible!!

sweet second chance, single mom story
Spencer is a single mom, and sex therapist...who has lost her job. Now she needs to move back to her hometown home, with her 3 boys, and live with her mom. Cooper is recently divorced and has moved back home to take over his father's law firm...and he's living at home until he can get his act together. Neither Spencer nor Cooper expected to see each other after all of these years...see, the pair were hs sweethearts and had made many future plans that never came to be. Cooper is still attracted to Spencer but there is that pesky problem...she has 3 kids and he doesn't want anything to do with rugrats. But, as the pair rekindle their friendship, and move towards more, will there be a forever or will Cooper's dislike of kids stand in the way? I floved this story!! My fave character though, was the youngest boy who said the most hilarious things...and called Cooper...wait for it...POOPER!! This is one of those 're-listen when you need a pick me up'!

Cooper & Spencer
▪▪▪Review contains spoilers▪▪▪
Audible Escapes review. Dual POV. Standalone. I really enjoyed this romantic comedy with a HEA. Both narrators did a good job. Trigger warnings: attempted custody battle, and a PI discovers a death from drug overdose.

Cooper James Hebert (33; aka Coop, Man, Pooper, Asshole) is recently divorced after he left his wife because she wanted kids and he didn't. He moved back to his parents' home and will eventually take over his father's law practice. He was Spencer's 1st love and broke up with her 15 years ago the night they graduated. He wanted them to be free in college hoping they would come back together knowing they only wanted each other but it broke Spencer's heart. Spencer Rose Hebert (33; aka Spence, Princess, Fancy) is a single mother of 3 boys and a family psychologist specializing is sex therapy. She's only ever had sex with 3 men and had children with two of them. She met Tate Tenning, a college football star & father of her twins Lake & Landon born 6 months after their divorce, in college. They were married in Vegas celebrating his graduation. Once Tate decided he wanted to be part of the twins' lives and started taking them on some weekends she met Alex Hernandez on a girl's night out with Gina. Eventually she became pregnant with Kyle but Alex wanted nothing to do with the baby and broke up with her via text message. She loses her job after her boss slept with a married client and the husband sued forcing him to close his practice. Without a job she decides to move back in with her mom until she can find something else, knowing she won't be able to work in the current area after what her boss did. Both Cooper and Spencer's parents conspire to get them back together. Cooper initially makes it clear he doesn't want kids, especially another man's kids but as he gets to know them he falls in love with them. After helping Spencer fight for Kyle, who Alex suddenly wants custody of, Cooper knows he wants Spencer and her 3 sons. Cooper is able to convince Spencer to marry him and adopt Kyle.

So sweet 💕
Y’all Kyle steals the show!! I mean the poop truck scenes had me crying laughing. It takes a special person to be your first love and to love your kids. Coop fits both of those perfectly💓

Fabulous
Such a great book to listen too. Had me laughing so many times. Eric Michael Summerer is by far my favourite male narrator, I would happily listed to him in all the audiobooks.
Haven’t listened to Jillian Macie before but will definitely look for other books narrated by her
