Coming soon to Disney+!

Half boy. Half God. ALL Hero.

Being the son of a Greek God, nothing in my life has been straightforward. Or monster-free. And it looks like that's not going to change anytime soon now that my arch enemy Luke wants to invade Camp Half-Blood via an ancient labyrinth.

If he succeeds, thousands of bloodthirsty monsters will attack. So it's goodbye sunshine, hello darkness as four of us descend into the terrifying underground and beyond....

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM PERCY JACKSON:

  • Monsters
  • Greek Gods
  • Laughs (and terrified screams)

Rick Riordan has now sold an incredible 60 million copies of his books worldwide.

Grandson loves these stories

He has listened to these stories so many times that he can recite them by heart. He is an 11 year old, massively keen on mythology - Percy Jackson is a modern day Hero and his adventures are joy to a young man's heart!

Percy is a hero

I absolutely loved this audiobook! I listened to it every day and late into the night! I didn't dislike a bit of it! I loved every bit. I would recommend this book to age 6+ as some of it has long words and gruesome deaths! I didn't mind though,I thought it was EXCELLENT!!! I chose this rating because the reading was read perfectly,it was exciting and there was no glitches or things going wrong! I can't wait/listen to the next audiobook/book!😊

Disappointing narrator

I love the book, as with all Riordan’s previous work but Jesse Bernsteins performance as the narrator was pretty disappointing. As someone who has listened to his rendition of the previous books in this series I take issue with his need to rely upon stereotypes in his voice acting so much. The affected accents for certain characters of other ethnicities takes away some of the work done by the author to offer an inclusive repertoire of characters.

I worry about the decision to cast Bernstein when it is clear to me that any number of other narrators would have been able to do justice to the books without relying on such affected stereotypes. I only wish there was an alternative to this particular narrator.

performance issues

good GODS the CHOICES this narrator made. from surfer dude Luke and Antaeus and bad British Quintus, to the truly AWFUL racist Japanese accent for Ethan Nakamura, this was one whiff after another. great stories, but they need to be read by someone more talented and respectful

Story 100% fantastic, The narrator? Nah

The narrator is slightly racist and really bad at voices. The giants voice just made me want to skip that part... and Ethan!! He’s an American Asian!!! Stop making them have Asian accents how racist can you be???

Other than that Rick wrote an amazing story and i loved it. Just as much as when i was a teenager!

Great story ruined by cringe-y accents

Love all of the Percy Jackson books but the narrator really gets on my nerves. Quintus’s accent seemed to be an attempt at an English accent? It was poorly-done and distracting. And the forced Japanese accent for Ethan was absolutely cringeworthy, much like with Annabeth’s stepmother in the previous book. Even the voices for characters with American accents were jarring, with strange tones and inflections. I hope this series is re-narrated one day as it’s really difficult to immerse myself in the story when I’m gritting my teeth at the narration.
