A writer of great wit and style-. I've read her books to ragged shreds.
My favourite historical novelist -- stylish, romantic, sharp, and witty. Her sense of period is superb, her heroines are enterprising, and her heroes dashing. I owe her many happy hours.

A masterpiece, a rivetting and humorous romance. Transports one to the Victorian era. I've already read this book twice several years back. listening to it was, if possible, better than reading. Jasmine has done a great job. I was apprehensive when I bought the audible book but I am happy to say, my fears were ungrounded.

A veritable treat for Georgette Heyer fans

The story was predictable right from the first chapter but then I am sure several romantic may have taken inspiration from the plot without attaching any credits. Hats off to Ms Heyer for thinking of such a plot happening way back in 1800+ something. I love being in the arena and getting the feel of similar people back then as we are in this age of technology.

This is a Regency romance about a handsome, jaded man who tries to court a beautiful, headstrong heiress. His clumsy attempts, however, only manage to repel her. The many twists and turns that follow create a story full of humor and charm.
