A great sequel to the original Tarzan of the Apes

The Return of Tarzan is the second book in Tarzan series by Edgar Rice Burroughs and immediately follows the first Tarzan story Tarzan of the Apes.

The first book is a timeless tale a powerful coming of age take but it in Return of Tarzan that Edgar Rice Burroughs gives depth to Tarzan aka John Clayton of House Greystoke and many other important elements takes place in the story.

If you are interested in old fashioned action adventure story, this book is awesome. The only criticism to keep in mind is the racist languages which you will encounter in this 1913 story.

The audiobook version is of the Edgar Rice Burroughs Authorised Library and it has an informative afterword on creation of the story.

Ben Dooley the narrator of Oasis Audio does a good job of bringing this story to life.
