A great fantasy story of adventure and imagination

The Ship of Ishtar is a fantasy story written by A Merritt in 1924. It concerns American archaeologist John Kenton who discovers a mysterious artifact from ancient Babylon, a sculpture of a golden ship on an ocean.

The artifact teleports him to the world of the ship where adventure ensues. It is a great fantasy story told in a simple action adventure style.

Johnny Heller who narrated the story also did a good job. This is the Oasis audiobook version of the story.
