    Jack Worthing and Algernon Montcrieff have taken to bending the truth in order to put some excitement into their lives. Jack has invented a brother, Earnest, whom he uses as an excuse to leave his dull life behind to visit Gwendolyn. 

    Montcrieff decides to take the name Earnest when visiting Worthing's young and beautiful ward, Cecily. Things start to go awry when they end up together in the country and the truth starts to unravel.

Funny and masterful narration!

Every person's voice has a resonance as if they're actually performing in the theatre! The play is itself funny, smart and very well presented, enjoyed it immensely!

Very funny play and a well done audiobook

Highly recommend this audiobook! Everyone was delight to listen. If one has never consumed this story. go ahead have a good time. i will recommend the audiobook and the 2002 colin firth adaptation both bring the joy and comedy of the play out of those pages.
