  • Accessible But Not Inviting
    May 26 2022

Seventy-nine days after Holly's abduction, a group of hunters discovered her remains. Located in Brimfield, Massachusetts, about nine miles from her kidnapping in Sturbridge, the site and how she was found reveal profiling clues on who was responsible.

But, my investigation also reveals new evidence. The day before the discovery,4 ½ miles from the crime scene, a 12-year-old boy was targeted by a man who might have been the same person who abducted Holly. Almost three decades later, we finally hear his story.

  • David Pouliot
    Apr 14 2023

In January 2012, The Hampden District Attorney held a hastily called press conference to reveal new evidence regarding the murder of Holly Piirainen. A DNA match connected deceased Springfield, Massachusetts resident David Pouliot to an unidentified item found in the Brimfield woods near Holly in October 1993. Investigators called the discovery “significant,” but since the announcement, this new angle has not produced much else publicly. Was Pouliot responsible for Holly’s death, or was he just in the wrong place at the wrong time?In this episode, you will hear new details about David Pouliot from my research and an interview with the Piirainen family. We will also discuss Lewis Lent, a convicted child murderer who allegedly had a map of the Brimfield woods and whom one neighbor said he witnessed Lent in the area in the summer of 1993. We will also highlight a February 2023 press conference where the current DA revealed new evidence which can be viewed here:
