Our Hearty welcome to all Shiva devotees in this show.  The word Jyotirlinga is formed by combining two words, Jyoti and Linga. The divine light of Lord Shiva was manifested in the form of Jyoti. According to religious beliefs and scriptures, Lord Shiva appeared as a divine light. He appeared in different forms at 12 different places on earth. Jyotirlinga means the pillar of light. It is said that once there was a debate between Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu about who is the supreme deity. At that moment, Lord Shiva appeared as a pillar of light and instructed them to find the end of this pillar. Lord Vishnu went up to search for the end and Lord Brahma went down. However, both of them were unsuccessful in finding the end. Later, Lord Shiva brought the pillar of light down to earth and it is now known as Jyotirlinga. ज्योतिर्लिंग दो शब्दों से मिलकर बनता है ज्योति़लिंग। शिव प्रकाशमान ज्योति के रूप में प्रकट हुये थे। धार्मिक मान्यताओं व ग्रथों के अनुसार शिव साक्षात रुप में एक दिव्य ज्योति के रूप में साक्षात प्रकट हुये थे। यह धरती के 12 अलग-अलग स्थानों पर अपने विभिन्न रूपों में साक्षात विराजमान हुये थे। ज्योतिर्लिंग अर्थ प्रकाश स्तंभ होता है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि एक बार भगवान ब्रह्मा को और भगवान विष्णु के बीच में यह बहस हुई कि कौन सर्वाेच्च देवता है। तभी भगवान शिव प्रकाश स्तंभ के रूप में प्रकट हुए और प्रत्येक से इस प्रकाश स्तम्भ का अंत खोजने को कहा। भगवान विष्णु ऊपर की ओर भगवान ब्रह्मा नीचे की ओर इस ज्योतिर्लिंग का अंत खोजने के लिए चले गए। लेकिन फिर भी उन्हें इसका अंत नहीं मिला। उसके बाद में भगवान शिव ने प्रकाश स्तंभ को पृथ्वी पर गिरा दिया और आज उसे ही ज्योतिर्लिंग के नाम से जाना जाता है। Millions of listeners seek out Bingepods (Ideabrew Studios Network content) every day.     महादेव के बारह ज्योतिर्लिंग में अंतिम है घुश्मेश्वर मंदिर। यह स्थित है महाराष्ट्र राज्य में, दौलताबाद से १२ मील दूर, वेरुल गाओं के पास।  इसे घुश्मेश्वर, घुसृणेश्वर या घृष्णेश्वर भी कहा जाता है। यह भारत का सबसे छोटा ज्योतिर्लिंग मंदिर है। इस मंदिर का उल्लेख शिव पुराण और पद्म पुराण में किया गया है। 13वीं-14वीं शताब्दी में दिल्ली सल्तनत द्वारा इस स्थल को नष्ट कर दिया गया था। मंदिर का पुनर्निर्माण मराठा शासक शिवाजी के दादाजी , वेरूल के मालोजी भोसले ने 16वीं शताब्दी में करवाया था। मुगल साम्राज्य के पतन के बाद 18 वीं शताब्दी ईस्वी में इंदौर की रानी अहिल्याबाई होल्कर द्वारा वर्तमान संरचना का निर्माण किया गया था।  Ghushmeshwar Temple is the last of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Mahadev. It is located in the state of Maharashtra, 12 miles from Daulatabad, near Verul villages. It is also known as Ghushmeshwar, Ghusrineshwar or Ghrishneshwar. This is the smallest Jyotirlinga temple in India. This temple is mentioned in Shiva Purana and Padma Purana. The site was destroyed by the Delhi Sultanate in the 13th-14th centuries. The temple was rebuilt in the 16th century by Maloji Bhosale of Verul, the grandfather of the Maratha ruler Shivaji. The present structure was built by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore in the 18th century AD after the decline of the Mughal Empire. Let us now listen to the mythological story related to this temple.

    महादेव के बारह ज्योतिर्लिंग में ग्यारहवाँ है रामेश्वरम ज्योतिर्लिंग मंदिर। यह स्थित है तमिलनाडु के रमनाथम में। यह मंदिर 15 एकड़ ज़मीन पर फैला हुआ है। इसके गोपुरम बहुत  ऊंचे है। इसके इर्द गिर्द 4,000 फुट का  गलियारा  हैं, जिसमे 4,000 नक्काशीदार ग्रेनाइट के खंभे हैं - यह  दुनिया का सबसे लंबा गलियारा है। रामेश्वरम मंदिर के अंदर कुल 22 कुंड हैं . इन्हें 22 तीर्थों के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। कहा जाता है कि जब भगवान श्रीराम ने इन कुडों की स्थापना की थी तो इन कुंडों में अलग-अलग तीर्थों के जल लाकर डाले गए थे।  इसीलिए यहां आकर सभी लोग इन कुंडों के जल से स्नान को अत्यधिक महत्व देते हैं और यही कारण है कि इससे 22 तीर्थों का स्नान भी कहा जाता है। यह भारत का सबसे दक्षिणी ज्योतिर्लिंग है। आइये अब सुनते हैं इस मंदिर से जुडी पौराणिक कथा। Rameswaram Jyotirlinga Temple is the 11th among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Mahadev. It is located in Ramanatham, Tamil Nadu. This temple is spread over 15 acres of land. It's gopurams are very tall. Surrounding it is a 4,000-foot corridor with 4,000 carved granite pillars – the longest corridor in the world. There are a total of 22 kunds inside the Rameshwaram temple. They are also known as 22 pilgrimages. It is said that when Lord Shriram established these kunds, water from different pilgrimages was brought and poured into these kunds. That is why all the people coming here give utmost importance to bathing with the water of these kunds and this is the reason why it is also called bathing of 22 pilgrimages.
