十代目桂文治、父は落語家「初代柳家蝠丸」1960年代、桂伸治の時代にテレビラジオに多数出演、売れっ子となる。1979年桂文治を襲名,桂派宗家となる。生粋の江戸前落語の語り手であった。語り手二代目平治は五番目の弟子、昭和６１年に入門、平成24年9月に十一代目文治を襲名。修業時代の師匠の思い出を語ります。聞き手は元ニッポン放送演芸プロデューサー塙宏。
