Osho, one of the best-known and most provocative spiritual teachers of our time, presents The Sutra of 42 Chapters—a scripture compiled in the first century C.E by a Chinese emperor. Two thousand five hundred years have passed since Buddha delivered the sutras on which this series is based.

This series of talks is on one of the most esoteric treatises in the world. It will show you the way to become more than the body and the way to bloom - how not to remain a seed but to become a golden flower. What, in India, they call the one thousand-petalled lotus, in China they call the golden flower. It is a symbol that represents perfection, totality. Osho responds here to a question relating to meditation, a space of "no-mind": "...meditation covers a very long pilgrimage. When I say 'meditation is witnessing', it is the beginning of meditation. And when I say 'meditation is no-mind', it is the completion of the pilgrimage. Witnessing is the beginning, and no-mind is the fulfillment. Witnessing is the method to reach the no-mind. Naturally you will feel witnessing is easier. It is close to you. But witnessing is only like seeds, and then is the long waiting period."

Kabir par Osho samay-samay par bolte rahe hain. Keh sakte hain ki Kabir unke priy rahe hain. Kabir ke saddhukkadi vachanon ko samsamayik Osho hi bana sakte hain.

Is pravachan me Osho hamare sthapit mulya par chot karate hai. Ham adarsh ko mahan maante hai lekin Osho ke anusar adarsh thothe hai kyoki ve udhar hai. Adarsh bahar se thope jaate hai, bhitar ki samajh se nahi nikalte. Adarsh ka arth hai ham jaise nahi hai vaise banne ki koshish karana. Yadi jivan ko janna hai to apne antas ko khilne de. Samanya ko mahatva de, vishisht hone ki koshish na kare.

I love the statement that the "man of Zen walks in Zen and sits in Zen" for the simple reason that meditation cannot be just a part of your life. You cannot make a fragment of your life meditative.

Kathinayi chaahe prem ke panth ki ho ya dhyaan ke maarg ki, pandhrah pravachanon ki is prashnottar pravachanmala mein Osho ne sabhi prashnon ke atyant saral aur subodh samaadhan diye hain. Shero-shaayari aur kavitaon se bharpoor ye pravachan panth ki saari kathinaayi ko door kar ek nayi subah ki tarah hamein abhibhoot kar lete hain. Osho kehte hain: 'Main to dekhta hoon ek naya suraj, ek nayi subah, ek naya manushyaa, ek nayi prithvi - vah roj nikharti aa rahi hai.

Mahaavir guru nahi hain. Mahavir kalyanmitr hain. Ve kehte hain, main kuch kehta hoon, use samajh lo; mere sahare lene ki zaroorat nahi hai. Meri sharan aane se tum mukt na ho jaaoge. Meri sharan aane se to naya bandhan nirmit hoga, kyunki do bane rahenge. Bhakt aur bhagwaan bana rahega. Shishya aur guru bana rahega. Nahi, do ko to mitaana hai.
