Story
In this collection, the authors were striving for a natural and unaffected style of verse that sought to avoid the elaborate structures and artifice that they considered had characterized much of the poetry of the 18th century. Of the 23 poems, only four are by Coleridge, including "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner", which is the most famous poem in the collection. The most notable contribution by Wordsworth is the concluding poem, "Tintern Abbey".

Story
We spend more time working than doing almost anything else, yet work is often difficult, unsatisfying and frustrating. Sometimes our efforts feel never-ending, and the idea that we should be working for the Lord is often squeezed out. This book, based on a series of sermons by William Taylor, will help you to see that being a Christian can make a difference to how we experience work. William argues that ‘the Bible’s teaching on work is not only liberating but also exhilarating and refreshingly realistic’.

Story
Never before has the biblical stance on marriage, sex and sexuality been under such scrutiny. It’s been undermined, criticised and ignored and yet the message of the Bible is liberating and practical - and sex the way God intended is not only the best sex, but also the safest! Revolutionary Sex, based on talks by William Taylor, is a no-nonsense look at one of the biggest issues of our day.

Story
Strictly speaking The Lake Poets were not a movement or school of poetry. They were only so named as such by The Edinburgh Review so that they could be disparaged. It was a spectacular backfire! The three main figures would be rightly seen as among the most monumental figures in English poetry - William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and the underrated but immense Robert Southey, himself a 30-year poet laureate.
