Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Narrated by Simon Sinek.

Imagine a world where almost everyone wakes up inspired to go to work, feels trusted and valued during the day, then returns home feeling fulfilled.

This is not a crazy, idealised notion.

Today, in many successful organisations, great leaders are creating environments in which people naturally work together to do remarkable things.

In Leaders Eat Last, Simon Sinek, internationally best-selling author of Start With Why, investigates these great leaders from Marine Corps Officers, who don't just sacrifice their place at the table but often their own comfort and even their lives for those in their care, to the heads of big business and government - each putting aside their own interests to protect their teams.

Sinek argues that this is what it means to be a leader and asks are you a leader?

Neurotransmitters galore!

Great narration. Could have been less on the neurotransmitter chemical information which became an overkill.

Practical Storyline!

Enough of management jargons and gyan and mantras... this book is all about stories and learnings. Best part is “Eat dirt” and dealing with millennials.

Interesting insights for Leaders

I have been trained by our trekking, mountaineering leader by literally making us eat last when we used to lead smaller groups in the treks. This book gave me a new insight into the leading teams. Not just leading but also its has set guide lines for developing teams with the members from the new generation (fresher's) coming on board the team.

Must read/listen

I liked the book alot... it appeals to my notion of how a leader should be... Though people say this notion of leadership is idealist and not possible to achieve... at least people around us will be happy when we try.... that's more than the motivation required for me...

Eaters leads last

The role of being a leader doesn't mean license to work less but it's a responsibility to do more.
