Louise Kirk learns about love and loss at an early age. Based on the column of the same name that appeared in The Toast, Hey Ladies! is a laugh-out-loud listen that follows a fictitious group of eight 20- and-30-something female friends for one year of holidays, summer house rentals, dates, brunches, breakups, and, of course, the planning of a disastrous wedding. This instantly relatable story is told entirely through emails, texts, DMs, and every other form of communication known to man. 

Rev works hard to keep the demons of the time before his adoption at bay...until a letter from his father after his 18th birthday brings the trauma of his childhood hurtling back. Emma escapes real life by perfecting the online game she built from scratch. Coding is way easier than facing her parents' nasty relationship or the growing distance with her best friend...But when an online troll's harassment starts to escalate, she fears for her safety. When Rev and Emma meet, they're buckling under the weight of their secrets. Though both of them find it hard to put their problems into words, they connect instantly and deeply. Rev and Emma's problems might be worlds apart, but they promise to help each other no matter what. But promises are made to be tested, and some things hurt more than we can tell.

There is more than one way for animals to prepare for winter. Some, such as mice, foxes, and moose, simply tolerate the cold. Of course, black bears hibernate, but chipmunks, wood frogs, and garter snakes do, too. And then there are the creatures that migrate, including hummingbirds, blue whales, and even earthworms! 

Growing up on their hardscrabble farm in rural Kentucky, 15-year-old Albertina "Bertie" Winslow has learned a lot from her mama, Polly. She knows how to lance a boil, make a pie crust, butcher a pig, and tend to every chore that needs doing. What she doesn't know, but is forced to reckon with all too soon, is how to look after children as a mother should. When Polly succumbs to a long illness, Bertie takes on responsibility for her four younger siblings and their dissolute, unreliable daddy.  

When Dawn announces that she is moving back to California, the other baby-sitters cannot believe that she would even consider leaving them. 

When Dawn's brother Jeff comes from California for a visit, a nice, peaceful family reunion erupts into a feud between the Schafers and the Spiers.

After moving to California, Dawn, a charter member of the Baby-Sitters Club, starts her own We Love Kids Club, and the laid-back club may become even more successful than Stoneybrook's Baby-Sitters Club. 

Pep rally, a big game...some of the kids are getting too involved in School Spirit Month. They make fun of the people who don't participate. 

Accepting a job as companion to a 12-year-old girl with Down's Syndrome, Dawn finds an unexpected friend in Whitney, and struggles with the fear that Whitney may not understand if she learns that Dawn is being paid to be with her. 

A bunch of kids at Stoneybrook Elementary have pen pals at a school in New Mexico. The baby-sitters love hearing the letters that Charlotte, Becca, and the Pike kids get from their new friends.

Dawn tries to give herself a new image by changing her hair, makeup, clothes, and personality, but then she worries about whether her friends and her penpal Lewis will like the new Dawn. 

Visiting her father on the west coast, Dawn is tempted to stay with him when she enjoys the beach, Disneyland, and a wealth of healthy restaurants, but the homesick baby-sitter fears leaving her mother and all of her friends.

Dawn has met Travis, an older boy, and she knows he's the perfect boy for her. But the baby-sitters think that smooth-talking Travis is no good and plan to tell Dawn just that.

Lately, it seems like each of the baby-sitters besides Dawn has been singled out...and she's a little jealous. But now it's Dawn's turn to shine: Mrs. Pike has asked her to help prepare Margo and Claire for the Little Miss Stoneybrook contest! Dawn's going to do everything she can to help her charges win, even if Margo's only talent is peeling a banana with her feet. But then Kristy, Mary Anne, and Claudia are helping Karen, Myriah, and Charlotte enter the contest, too. It's hard to tell whether the competition is fiercer at the pageant - or in the BSC!

Deciding that she wants to move back to California permanently, Dawn worries about what she will say to the rest of the baby-sitters, who do not understand when they hear the news secondhand.

Summertime in Stoneybrook finds the members of the Baby-sitters Club overwhelmed by client demands and a forthcoming trip to Hawaii - a situation that results in the enlistment of three unlikely sitters-in-training.

Dawn has always thought there was a secret passage hidden in her house. But that doesn't explain why creepy things happen when Dawn's at home, or the spooky noises coming from behind her bedroom wall. Dawn is sure there's a ghost in her house! And so are the other Baby-Sitters Club members. But they're so busy with their jobs that they don't have time for a ghost hunt. Will Dawn and her friends solve the mystery...or will Dawn have to share her house with a ghost?

Dawn and Mary Anne are finally stepsisters and also roommates. When they begin to get on each other's nerves, Dawn comes up with a solution which pleases everyone.
